Video is very good ,and we are going on this ship in Jan 2011,,, was wondering if it was worth upgrading to the all inclusive drinks package ,,at a cost of £370 per person this is for two weeks ,,any replys would be appreciated

@barno1966 I would say no, unless you really drink a lot. We did not go for the drinks package and we we defo saved in the long run. But I was not drinking beer day and night. Just a few in the evenings. hope this helps ;-)

Hi Dave. Enjoyed the video, wish mine was as good!! We did the same cruise Jan 2010. Question,How are you holding the camera to get that panorama effect or do you just have steady hands!?

@Cedderpiglet Glad you liked the Vid.... for the panorama effect just hold your hand out nice and straight and keep a steady hand! You'll get better results than you think! ;-)

Congrats for the video Dave. I worked on this ship back on 1995-98 when she was named as Song of America, she is just one of the nicest ship I've been on.

@willychili Glad you enjoyed it. We loved the atmosphere aboard Destiny, Not to posh and not to cheap, superb food & great shows. The staff where just fantastic. What sort of job did you use to have aboard? Do you still work on the cruise liners now? Cheers. Dave.

@willychili Wow I agree what a great video I also worked on the the ship when it was SOA 1986-1987 before I was on Song of Norway Song of America I still love it no to big not to small.

Great video we where on Destiny ship from 5th April 2009 for 2 wonderful weeks in Caribbean picture of waiters at the end 2 of them looked afer us like king & queen we will never forget them

Hiya, Glad you enjoyed it! We just took dollars and they seemed to be accepted everywhere. theres a currency exchange on board if you do run into any problems. Have a Fab time!

Hi Derek, Glad you enjoyed it. Blimey, The Camera I've been using is pants - A 8 year old Panasonic which cost £250, you can't buy it any more. But I'm getting an Sanyo VCP-CA9 soon to replace it. Hi-def, waterproof up to 5 metres and less than £200 - perfect if you only use it once or twice a year like me. Have a great time - you'll love it! Great ship!

well then matey we were there in feb 09 we were only on the 1 week were we went to barbados didnt go to antigua wish we there now good video m8 we went on the caribean pirate ship was you there when ocean village was next to us and the staff was playen the game were he got a wooden leg funny your vids better than the thompsons one lol

It was! Being young (ish) I was a bit worried it would be full of geriatrics... But I was wrong... it was a fantastic holiday... loved waking up at a different island every day and thought the staff, food and service where spot on. I'll be going again for sure!

Yep, Gatwick here too! It was a 'first choice' plane rather than a Thompson one. superb holiday I thought.... Staff on that ship just could not do enough for you. Loved it!
