  • I love Scherrie's voice but this clip is delightfully suckilicious. And LOL @ "NEXT: THE BAA BAA SQUADRON" !!!

  • best supremes ever, diana was a commerciall sucess i give you that but with out berry gordys push and his crush on her she would have been another florence ballard, she did not sing as good as susaye or or scheri she couldnt hold a candle to them listen to susaye singing until its time for you to go on the new birth album holdin those notes , and tell me if diana ross could ever sing like that in your dreams she sucked

  • @modelmanagerdude the world is full of fantastic singers..scherrie aqnd susaye definitely being amongst them...BUT there is only one diana ross. look objectively at this clip and honestly tell me that routine is not a mess. there was no focus/pivotal personality in this lineup. this group's recordings were great though.

  • im actually a fan of latter-day supremes, but even i think this is pretty bad.

  • Why is each Supreme trying to upstage the other here? Dreadful gowns, cheap moves. Muzak sound.

  • History does tell all, Diana Brought 12 Number 1 Hits to "The Supremes" The Post Diana Supremes only had 2 Top 10 showings a Number 7 & Number 10 to be Exact, Both because of Jean Terrell, Mary Wilson & her, "I'm The Original Supreme" Ego, Killed "The Supremes", Jean wasn't going to Put up with it & the Closer Miss Mary came to the Lead Singers Position, the Quicker "The Supremes" Died, It didn't help she was threatening Her EMPLOYER with Legal Action constantly

  • ''DIANA ROSS'' Who is-was she?, and who really cares? After she left THE SUPREMES, THE SUPREMES,with JEAN TERRELL singing lead, scored TWO HITS before ''MISS ROSS'' scored her first solo hit in 1970!!!!! It's in the history books y'all. THE SUPREMES were NEVER, EVER given the chance to even TRY to survive without her. MARY did her BEST to bring in fresh, promising talent but, never had a chance to succeed because MOTOWN wouldn't back them, enough SAID..

  • @asl126 , Oh please, Mary is the one that kept the most logical choice of lead singer from ever getting a foot hold. Miss Syreeta Wright was considered, but Berry gave into Mary's pressure of not letting that happen. Mary is not too bright.

  • @asl126 , Nice try, however lame it was, but REALITY CHECK, Diana Ross is a household name, Mary who? Cindy who? Lynda who?. I can't even remember the other screecher's name.. Susaye something

  • @SpazChat Wow: your sentence structure, punctuation and spelling errors need serious correcting dude...

  • @asl126 , My sentence structure isn't any worse than yours

  • @SpazChat prove it, bunionhead

  • @asl126 , I don't have to prove anything. Your delusion speaks for itself. Diana Ross is and will also remain a household name. Mary who? Cindy who? Susaye who? Lynda who? Jean who?

  • @SpazChat Abso-freaking-lutely! Who really remembers those women anyway?....who cares?

This video, the song, the singers, the content, the whole package is all the proof anyone would need that Diana was definitely THE star of The Supremes, and just why she was singled out by thousands of people way back in the 60s as a superstar!....this video is also proof that without Diana, THEY STANK!

  • @OnlineAdministrator1 , I'm just surprised that people like asl126 can be so deluded.

  • After Diana left the supremes was OK then after Cindy the supremes became a hot mess, I think Berry gave up at this point

  • People, you do not have to bash Diana Ross to compliment Mary Wilson. Jeez. This Detroit-bred fellow thinks the Supremes and all of its members are wonderful. Of course it's your prerogative to disagree, but just know that all that hate for one is not necessary to express love for another. Come off that, please.

  • @mrberryv YOU ARE SO RIGHT! Bless you. I love and enjoy the legacy of The Supremes. ALL OF THEM. Whatever problem they may or may not have among themselves is their own personal thing and everybody else should butt out. Thankfully, from I read in these blogs, I can see there are only a couple of troublemakers trying to re-write history with all sort of lies, gossip and way out slander. Sad lonely souls!

  • GREAT SONG!

  • Oh Miss TWTR, There you go again trying to make a Friend, by Trashing Diana Ross, as a Geriatric Hispanic, Tranny Stewardess from The Greater Swamps of Miami, you should know, it was over for you & Miss Mary, Many Years ago

  • Oh rameller, To speak out against a Woman who has caused "Nothing But Heartaches" to EVERY OTHER SUPREME does not need your approval or anyone elses, You were not even born when "The Supremes" were active, so you don't have a Clue & your Opinion is Irrelevant

  • Bigassbear how the hell do you know, what Tom and Pedro have????Did you try it out???you Slut..you got nerve putting shit on Mary...Aint no bigger hoe on You tube than You....

  • KPlife2001 Bigassbear dont know shit...Hes a shut in ,aint got nothing better to do....just a Schoolyard Bully, that all....just a piece of shit, putting Dirt on Mary Wilson....shes his muse....someone he can Never have

  • Maybe if Berry had taken over management they would have been bigger. Or not.

  • @bigbear39ca i agree Pedro killed The Supremes, When they hit with "Let My Heart Do The Walking Berry wanted to personally manage the group again, but mary wouldnt fire that ass clown pedro

  • @MotownMaster Well Miss Mary couldn't Fire Pedro, She was "Penis Dependant", word is, Pedro had even more than Tom Jones

  • @bigbear39ca Do you personally know Mary Wilson or something? You sound bitter about the supremes. Why?

  • @kplife2001 Don't pay attention to "bigbear"... he thinks he is Diana Ross and has dedicated his life and energy to bash Mary Wilson. I don't think even Diana approves. Very sad case.

  • @rameller1 TheReturnOfBigJackAssBear is but a pest, a bug, a roach!

He's the Diane Ross emissary from hell!

This "tranny bitch" from "THE FORGOTTEN URBAN TUNDRA OF ONTARIO CANADA" is dick packing, oussy wishing low life of the like of his Priestess Of Darkness "Diane BERRY' GORDY'S MOTOWN WHORE Ross" but to no avail they remain in OBLIVION, just like Diane's fade "solo" career, an oddity, a relic!

THE SUPREMES in any incarnation are the legacy!

    Diane Ross?

    THE GHOST OF MUSIC PAST!

  • Must be tough to lip-sync when you are bouncing around in stainless steel kimonos.

  • The ladies LOOK SO SUPRME & sound as WELL. Norwin

  • "THE SUPREMES- LET YOURSELF GO / 70'S ALBUMS -THE FINAL SESSIONS"

Was just re-released by "Hip-O-Select" on 5/2011 the 3CD Compilation is fantastic!

MS MARY WILSON TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO LAS VEGAS!

    JUNE 22, 2011 TO JULY 03, 2011 / THE RIVIERA HOTEL & CASINO!

OUR QUINTESSENTIAL SUPREME WITH HER "TOUR DE FORCE" IS BACK!

  • Geez, remember every weekday afternoon, Mike Douglas on one station, and Merv Griffin on the other? ;) Mike was such a nice host, but his band always sounded so cheesey and didn't sound different than when it intro'd The Supremes back in 1965! They were so talented--and Mary held it altogether and symbolized it all, through thick and thin, all through those years!

  • pay no mind to bigbear39,apparently he has no job to stay on here bashing Mary Wilson and the other Supremes he sounds like a drama queen drag hag!

  • @bigbear39ca You're wrong on two accounts - they did have a number 1 R&B hit with "Stoned Love" and there were nine Supremes, not eight. And saying Mary was the least talented is merely your opinion, not fact.

  • @jazzscherzo she wasn't the supremes. she was the key to them but she isn't THE supremes.

  • WTF?? This is truly horrible. It's trashy-disco at its worst. I havent got a clue what the dancing is supposed to be...and Mary in particular really looks completely out of place....almost drag like... little wonder that it all ended! The ONLY good thing about this is Scherrie's vocal cos otherwise it's an absolute lump of crap!

  • @OnlineAdministrator1 , I couldn't have said it better, This is trashy disco Muzak. On top of that they're wearing the ugliest gowns ever, They're dancing all over the place and not even sync. Gee, I thought they were supposed to be a group? The only thing that saves this here is Scherrie Payne. Mary looks uglier than ever, like some cheap drag queen. And what's with the halloween makeup?

  • Jeeez, where is Jean Terrell , Honey Cone or The Three Degrees when you need them. From Susaye's unbearable non-pleasant sore throat like screech to the over- the-top badly staged not together choreography to the lost in the mess muzak sound they turned into. What a mess.

  • They Sucked Without Diana

  • this is lip synced!! most of thee songs were lip synced on television starting in the 60's!!

  • What a train wreck... no wonder berry pulled the plug. I'm a lifelong fan, but that was really bad

  • The were HOT!

  • Mary is almost unrecognizable.............voices were excellent...unfortunately I think they were "feeling a little too good and loose" in this performance as the lip synching and dancing were a bit off..........

  • I guess, they should've close the brand down around the time when Terrell left, this configuration could never win calling themselves the supremes, shouldve changed the name and they might've been recieved diffrently, i remember reading about them being booed at their concerts..at the time all you could do was shake your head and go "they still trying that?' but under a new name might've been diffrent, you know people. bad lip synching also..which one was with ray charles?

  • supremebuddy -Susaye had been in The Raelettes and later New Birth before joining The Supremes.

Yes the dancing is bit under rehearsed shall we say, but this was a great line up vocally

  • @mezzomanUK Absolutely! Vocally, no one matched Scherrie and Susaye. Scherrie had been in a wonderful early 70s group called The Glass House. My mama had their first album with their only hit "Crumbs Off The Table". I love their energy here. Not a big fan of that song, though.

  • Fabulous performance, great vocals, exciting song!

  • Let yourself Go is one of my fav Supremes songs. Love Scherrie's voice. Btw u dont need to say that they are terrible. No need for that.

  • They totally ruined the SUPREMES! DIANA ROSS & THE SUPREMES were the BEST! who are these terrible people??? no wonder they lost fans!

  • @noorbakhsh2000 No. I disagree. "Diana Ross & The Supremes" was Diane, Mary, and Cindy. The ORIGINAL Supremed, *ONLY* called "The Supremes," had Diane, Mary, and Florence (RIP). Almost all the Supremes major hits are from that original configuration, BEFORE they renamed it to "Diana Ross & The Supremes."

  • @ptang981 Well, that is true about all thier hits; exception of one major detail. The groups name changed from the Supremes to Diana Ross and the Supremes in 1966. That was the begining of the end for Florence. She literally went off when that happened. Every argument with Berry and Diane, every drink, every missed rehearsal and show stemmed from that point on.The last big hits that featured Flo's voice in 1967 was ;"Reflections" and "In and Out of Love". By that time, Flo was out.

  • I can't say I agree with supremebuddy about Susaye. I can't say I'm that keen on her voice at all. She was always so overdramatic on stage and clearly came into the group with a definite agenda of pushing herself forward. From what Mary said in her autobiography, Susaye had a seriously bad attitude and was very difficult to cope with. That's probably why Mary left.

  • I want to say something that needs to be said. When Susaye joined the Supremes she was 27 years old and had already written two hit songs. This was her first time in an all girls group...the Supremes and it takes time to polish your stage presence. I am sure she was on "cloud-nine" that she was chosen to be in the top girl group of the era. Susaye has a fantastic voice and a wonderful stage presence. When this was recorded she had only been in the group for a short time.

  • they look so so off sync in this number. such a shame

  • Scherrie was gorgeous! And what a set of pipes!!! One of the top five best singers EVER!!!

  • @RUDYNATACHA _I will DEFINITELY agree with you THERE, my friend! DEFINITELY! :-D

  • Oh my--kind of a mess. Poor Mary looks like shes just hangin on. Susaye out of control.

  • @spintation, I agree the dancing was a mess, although I like the song. Those long dresses didn't go with the song or with them.

  • Ewww! Jeeeez. How can people like this line up? Disco Muzak trash mess is what they turned into

  • The energy is still there and of course they all look beautiful. I don't think they had a coreography worked out for this song so they just improvised. Still I'm glad this video exists to document the group at the end of their glorious career.

  • For those hating on this performance theres a reason why its so horrible, by this time there was a civil war many it would affect their performances which is why with their last song together Mary is in the front visable while the other two in the back.

  • why do they look like that they are not together?

  • @jeffdon4 Because they aren't. Terrible staging and choreography. And the women don't really look like they're sticking to the plan

  • Just AWFULL... thank God is was the end, just a travesty.

  • @jpptown58-oh shush

  • @jpptown58 I agree. This is not my favourite version of the Supremes. I think the best combination after the original Supremes is Jean, Mary, and Cindy. After that, well, as you stated........just awful. Yes, it was time for the end to come. And, as for reunions.......if Diana doesn't want to do it with Mary and Cindy, then maybe Jean will...I could go for that!

  • Disco was all the rage back then....1977 guys and gals ..before anyone even knew who Donna Summer was ... and here were the Supremes ahead of that curve with this catchy number..well produced and kudos to Mary for hanging in there as long as she did.....to all the naysayers, Sherrie and Susaye's "Partners" went nowhere. Case closed.

  • @ptrchev

The song is ok, but I'm not sure disco was a good look for them. With disco music, the sound is often the main attraction and the vocals are less memorable. they should have stayed with R&B. And kept Cindy Birdsong. Susaye Green's voice is just too much.

  • @ptrchev Uhhh by 1976 everyone knew who Donna Summer was. I know, I grew up in that era.

  • they dont look like they are insync . it is a shame that it had to end the way it did

  • Losing Cindy was a deradful mistake. The Mary-Cindy-Scherrie combo was the strongest snce the original trio. Scherrie Payne is beautiful and blessed with a gigantic voice. Song is kind of mincless: they deserved better..
