The ending of the movie might be just Ofelia's dream cause the old princess ran away from the underworld to see the sun but in the end Ofelia depicted the underworld as a sunny fairytale like place. That doesnt look like the underworld the old princess ran away from, the real one wouldve been scarier? Plus whats with the stone statue down the labyrinth of faun, the princess and a baby?
