Ive been a KISS fan since 77. I think the new album is fantastic. Best album they've done since Creatures of the Night/Lick It Up. I'm not saying it's any better than older KISS, it's really fucking good though. I can't picture any long time KISS fans "hating it." If that's the case, you're just jaded old lame-asses. You'll snap out of it eventually. Tommy Thayer does a great job on the album. Stealing Ace's leadwork? Like Ace didn't steal all his tricks from Jimmy Page? Lighten up!
Very average album , I wanted it to be good but truely people the songs are very average . Thayer re hash's tons of aces licks/solos and the songs are no where near the classic era . Lyrics are nt catchy , riffs are boring ect .

I have heard samples of every song on Kiss Sonic Boom. i was thinking i would hear some great ass kickin rock. im so let down its not even funny. Sonic Boom makes the Elder, and Unmasked sound great.. the songs sound like a cross between Posion and The Jonas Brothers.
I know that during the late 80's & even on the Revenge tour Kiss touring the UK never really made a profit...but they did it all the same....Yeah on the reunion tour & Psycho circus they toured & probably did ok...but to be fair why tour the UK when your not backing anything up??...It used to be a case of release an album then tour...but there has been no album!...Also a need to be able to play in arena's that are big enough & available at the time.

I don't think Kiss are just about making money....Don't get me wrong we all know Gene loves the $!! As much as i'd love ace to be in kiss he doesn't get on with them and thinks he'll be bigger on his own (but he won't) kiss especially gene are too much about money. Get some proper deuce, strutter mixed with some 1977 stuff going on and the cd will sell!
I love Kiss and will buy this record. I am thankful that Tommy and Eric are there to help keep the band going. But I always question Paul's logic concerning Ace & Peter. Ace left when his contract was up, he made it CLEAR he wasnt going to do the same tour over and over again. As for Peter, he was simply shafted and disrespected. Rather they admit it or not, Paul & Gene know that the Kiss resurgence the last 13 years was due to the originals reunion.
And some other comments I never understood. Cant remember if it was Gene or Paul, but when explaining the new album one of them said that due to the previous tour, Tommy and Eric proved that they were ready for new material. So I suppose Eric was unproven from 91-96 when he recorded two albums with the band during that era?

I was going to buy the new album but after hearing this crap from Paul, I will not waste my hard earned money on it, nor will I spend hundreds of dollars to see a glorified cover band in concert. I AM however, looking forward to Ace's new album, "Anomaly" a great deal.
People go on and on about ace and peter, how they are Kiss etc.. I don't disagree but one thing you forget is the fact that ace and peter had their fare share of problems. I can't say for a fact but look who kept Kiss a float...not ace or peter...even through the 70s.
WOW! I love this band but Ace and Peter were the ones who helped make it what it is today!! All the albums in the 80's had 1 or 2 hits but the ones in the 70's every song was great. The new song songs great but have to hear the rest.

Paul and Gene are so manipulative. I always knew this but now it's just annoying. He doesn't do it here but I especially hate when Paul gives answers in interviews to come off as "hey, i'm just like you hard working guys... i have ordinary, normal tastes just like the hard working man." What a bunch of B.S. used to manipulate people into spending their money on a bunch of nerdy merchandise and concert tickets. It's more annoying that people fall for it and eat that garbage up.

I'm glad Tommy and Eric are playing on this album and I've been a fan since 79. The song does sound like 70's Kiss in my opinion, and even though I hate Wal Mart, I'm glad they are selling it. I think it will do well because of it. Wal Mart goes all out with promotion, and that fits Kiss perfectly.
The new song Modern day Delilay sounds great. Can't wait for the entire album. And thanks to Eric and Thommy; KISS is more Alive than ever! I saw them 7 times last year and they are still the hottest band in the world! And if you don't like them...why should we bother about that?!

Ive been a KISS fan since 77. I think the new album is fantastic. Best album they've done since Creatures of the Night/Lick It Up. I'm not saying it's any better than older KISS, it's really fucking good though. I can't picture any long time KISS fans "hating it." If that's the case, you're just jaded old lame-asses. You'll snap out of it eventually. Tommy Thayer does a great job on the album. Stealing Ace's leadwork? Like Ace didn't steal all his tricks from Jimmy Page? Lighten up!

I have heard samples of every song on Kiss Sonic Boom. i was thinking i would hear some great ass kickin rock. im so let down its not even funny. Sonic Boom makes the Elder, and Unmasked sound great.. the songs sound like a cross between Posion and The Jonas Brothers.

I know that during the late 80's & even on the Revenge tour Kiss touring the UK never really made a profit...but they did it all the same....Yeah on the reunion tour & Psycho circus they toured & probably did ok...but to be fair why tour the UK when your not backing anything up??...It used to be a case of release an album then tour...but there has been no album!...Also a need to be able to play in arena's that are big enough & available at the time.

I don't think Kiss are just about making money....Don't get me wrong we all know Gene loves the $!! But they don't need to be touring & releasing a new cd for the money these days...They could quite easily sit back & take it easy...They put their name on anything & sell it....so what!...We are not forced to buy it!...For me it's about the music & the show & i think for them it is about proving they can put a cd out that the fans love...& maybe some praise from the press for once!

I love Kiss and will buy this record. I am thankful that Tommy and Eric are there to help keep the band going. But I always question Paul's logic concerning Ace & Peter. Ace left when his contract was up, he made it CLEAR he wasnt going to do the same tour over and over again. As for Peter, he was simply shafted and disrespected. Rather they admit it or not, Paul & Gene know that the Kiss resurgence the last 13 years was due to the originals reunion.

Cant remember if it was Gene or Paul, but when explaining the new album one of them said that due to the previous tour, Tommy and Eric proved that they were ready for new material. So I suppose Eric was unproven from 91-96 when he recorded two albums with the band during that era?

As a Kiss fan i love the music & love the live show....As for who wears who's make up or who plays on what song...I've heard it all so many times...Kiss don't care, Ace don't care & Pete don't care! So why should we care!! If we get a great new album another great live show we should all be very happy Kiss fans...My kids getting to school on time is way more important than who wears who's make up in Kiss....Or are there really people out there losing sleep over this???

KISS is over now as soon as all these so called `real` fans know that the better.. at the end of the day KISS is a tribute band now and has been for a long time.. its sad to see people still KISSING their butts no matter what they do... Simmons said the `farewell` tour was the end he was just lying to make as much cash as possible they had no intensions of quitting!! Paul and Gene are so manipulative. I always knew this but now it's just annoying. He doesn't do it here but I especially hate when Paul gives answers in interviews to come off as "hey, i'm just like you hard working guys... i have ordinary, normal tastes just like the hard working man." I'm glad Tommy and Eric are playing on this album and I've been a fan since 79. The song does sound like 70's Kiss in my opinion, and even though I hate Wal Mart, I'm glad they are selling it. I think it will do well because of it. Wal Mart goes all out with promotion, and that fits Kiss perfectly.
