I was watching the Science channel and an Australian scientist was traveling to India to explore the scientific side of India. The show said that in the Vedas it states the world is 4 billion years old!
Vedas State that the age of the world is 4.6 billion years old. Actually, the surprising thing is that Vedas also predict the age of Universe pretty closely! Check it out.
i think thats just it, no one knows and it shows that whilst the west was still deeply asleep in ignorance "even 500 years ago they where still witch hunting and still today there is racial hate" those men 5000 years ago and beyond, lived in a culture far beyond todays understanding, hence its all very mystical fot todays "advanced" men. Everyone should study the vedas with an open mind, especially other religions. To reject something without understanding it, is ignorance.
In fact when europeans first came to India, they integrated with the poulation pretty well, govenors married indian women and often adopted indian dress, it was only later when what can only be described as nazi ideology tried to christianize india that indians were seen as 'pagan deivils' by some colonialists. this led to a period of horror and massacre on the continent. At last we are seeing India take it's rightful place again as a/the cradle of human civilization and knowledge.
about "vedas say kshatriyas were born from Brahma's arms, brahmins from mouth , vaish from thighs and shudras from feet"
even suppose this comes from the Veda, which human being is complete if even one of the above is absent? This verse means to say that the society needs to be integrated well to form a full human. Of what use is a man without mouth/limbs?

1.a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws: the mathematical sciences.
2. systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.
3.any of the branches of natural or physical science.
I agree. If anything it's quite uncool to know what's beatuiful and call it so. Most my age don't even bother. Sadly what will they pass on to the next generation? How to straighten your hair, put on glitter shadow, argue over trivial topics, bravado etc.....But there are those who know and see. So I am happy that the torch moves into their hands...where it's safe.
Hinduisms is like a jungle full of vines. There are many way to approach and study it. Hinduism is very scientific, explains evolutionary energy in man called kundalini, law of karma and is mathematical-quantum theory. Nature is also very diverse. Too completely define GOD is to CONFINE GOD into prison. Dogma precludes religious progress. A mere human being could hardly describe GOD the creator. Ascetics who are lucky to even have a glimpse of GOD or heaven faint at the divine sight.
vedas are shit - vedas say kshatriyas were born from Brahma's arms, brahmins from mouth , vaish from thighs and shudras from feet - same old castism bullcrap.

cvxx22, can you please quote me the line from the Vedas you are talking about? I'm pretty sure it is from a corrupt text called the Manu-sutra. That is not in the Vedas. If you think it is, please quote me the line.
I mean, this is true, but still, if you're looking for validation or criticism from anyone, you'll find it. How about living with the knowledge from the vedas, that's more validating that anything these admittedly esteemed men said.
May this and may of this kind give us the motivation to wipe out the evils in our society and the bad reputation we earned as a result of it. Jai Hind
Absolutely it is...I know that a lot of people are divided with this opinion but if you ask a religious historian then they would tell you that Vedic religion or the way of life which was inspired through the Vedic scriptures is the most ancient in this world and almost all religions have been inspired by to some or the other extent.
awesome video..thank you

everyone has come from the Supreme and all parts of the Supreme are equally sacred- especially God's feet - we surrender to God's sacred feet.
God has made it perfectly clear in the Gita:
'I am partial to no one. I am equal to all.' (Chapter 9, Bhagavad Geeta).

The irony is that christianity is a primitive cult, but people look at it as if it is an advanced religion.
Sanatana Dharma is the only true path to Peace, Love, and Light. I would die to defend it.
