Extremely unprofessional..  I've seen Windows and most new cell phones work as a more responsive touchscreen controller for half the price or less of the devices shown here and with half the technical problems. Apple should have been able to get this right!

dont download this! my windows was fucked up for at least a month before i realized that it was this idisplay crap. it seemed to constantly expand the screen although it wasnt running in my tray! its just not worth it belive me

I would like to use ipad as a tool palette screen with a mac mini, alongside a cintiq, for you guessed it, a portable digital painting studio. Would connecting through the usb dock improve the situation with lag? Seems ideal if possible, since the cintiq will take up the monitor port. Doesn't the ipad have a monitor port??? Also, while the ipad is acting as a display, do you have access to its own contents, for example listening to music stored on the ipad?

So wait, since the VGA cable doesn't support certain apps like Air video you could basically use this app and stream the videos from your desktop and all you would need to buy is a 1/8 inch male to male audio cable for the sound and it would work on any flat screen. What do you think ???

Very neat application. I do a lot of film making and editing and was toying with the idea of using my Macbook Pro and an iPad as my second monitor for a dual window editing set up.

From your experience with this application, do you think something as memory intensive as an editing software like Final Cut Pro will run extremely slow through this application? Like playback for instance.

this app has cause no end of display issues for my MBP and external displays - after visiting the Apple Genius Bar the only remedy was to reinstall my entire OS.

@johnstallard Actually, there's a simple command you do in Terminal that will erase the application in 2 seconds. Then restart and there's nothing to worry about.
