  • oops. i was looking for cock with balls...

  • ok who didn't read it as: XD

    fun cock with balls LOL

  • phun clock with balls... hmmm uhhh what does that sound like?

  • excellent kugeluhr (true ball clock name)

  • simplest clock ever. i love it :D

  • looks like world of goo :)

  • cock with balls

  • Wow! very nice work!

  • Best machine i've seen on phun

  • btw,i have an idea,,,u no that lift thing there...put clock's backroung and numpers and ect in it so it shows some time with that ball thing...anyway

  • looks like simple style but still interesting mechanism....

  • it is not working for me it is putting two balls at a time beacuse the lever thing in 0:36 is not working

  • Ahh, yes. Clock and balls.

  • Oh phew, I clicked this video thinking, "Wow, I'll go homophobe on this guys ass." Titles can be misleading... xD

  • Very complex mechanism. I think you spent a lot of time calibrating this.

    Good job! :-bd

  • very well done, its alot more complex than it looks at first glance. this must have taken alot of fiugring. 5 stars!

  • that clock must be manly... get it? ive been making some lame jokes lately...

  • Very creative and quite effective. At first i thought "Oh great another clock", but this one effectivley keeps time and is quite simple. 4 stars. Check out my Phun soda machine. :P

  • sweet

  • AWESOME! again

  • awesome!

  • where is this website?

  • Just google phun

  • thats just too cool

  • amazing!

  • wow...nice job it's awesome

  • wow dude i can imagine how much time that took

  • jeje this kind of clock was one of the first thing i also tried xD

  • i have also made a clock

maybe i set it on youtube it's much better :P

  • how do u make the white thread?

  • That's a spring.

  • a spring streched wayy out

  • Actually, it's a series of thin blocks connected by hinges. I used a lot of cut and paste.

  • How would the purple lever right itself with a ball at one end? (1:27) It LOOKS like the ball going up that lever is going uphill to get to the yellow lever.

  • It does look like it, yes, but its just because the yellow brick is turning more than the purple. The purple is almost straight, but it isnt.

why would he make a uphill brick that fails the whole system anyways? :P

  • the purple bar has a counterweight which is heavier than the other side, so it'll tip back into the right position which will let the ball roll to the next part of the contraption.

  • Oh, YES! I see it, now! Thank you VERY much!

  • haha wow. I love it.

I play around ith Phun alot, but I never do awesome stuff like that.

  • very impressive.

  • damn dude you are crazy! nice work!

  • Nice work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HoW do I download the other improved versions? When I click on the link in the blog, a window pops up with gibberish that is to complicated for me to understand...

  • Holy... How long did it take for you to make that? and only a weeks full of experiance using phun? you my friend are briliant!

  • Hmm, during the rollover, the last ball falls off at the one minute mark, so by the whole thing finishes, its 12:01?

  • Er, I mean 2 minutes*

  • Yeah, it's kind of weird that way. If you want to actually use it as a clock, you should be mindful of that. But mostly it's just a fun thing to look at that is useful if you have no other clock around at all.

  • that would be an... interesting screen saver lol nice work

  • My grandfather has a clock similar to this in the farm... I think the process is simplier to yours, but it needs to be 3D :S

    GREAT job, dude :D

  • I'm from sweden to:D

  • awsome

  • fuckin sweet.alot of creativity involved

  • Verry well done, try a binary adding machine!

  • Wow O_O

    That's really awesome!

  • reminds me of a certain gum-ball machine at the ice-cream parlor downtown.

  • this took you MORE experimenting than you thought?

    nicely done

  • What can I say? I'm an optimist.

  • Awesome ! briliant ! gooooooood job =]

  • brilliant!

  • :¬O

  • ACCURATE!!!

  • title didnt sound right "clock with balls"

    "cock with balls"

  • thats wat i thouhgt it said XD

  • i love it. it's just freaking amazing!

  • That's amazing!! Simply brilliant!

But how the hell to you read it? It almost appears that the balls above are already counting the seconds past midnight before the new hour starts...

  • In general, you read it by counting balls on the red seesaw. That's hours. Then you count 10 minutes for every ball on the yellow see-saw. Finally count 1 minute for every one on the blue see-saw.

It's true that the hour is about 2 minutes late in updating, so on top of that you should really look for what balls are on their way to those see-saws and take that into account. But most of the time the simple way will get you pretty close to the real time.

  • Amazing! Can you really leave this running all day and it will still be accurate?

I watched this three times just for the Father Time song. Who plays it?

  • It does not run all day, sadly. Every 10-15 minutes the conveyor belt with jam up and needs to be manually cleared. I hope to fix that eventually. I don't think the timing is that accurate either, but if it did run a long time I should be able to adjust the speed of the motor on the conveyor so that it is accurate.

The song you refer to is "You Can't Stop Father Time" with Tom Ball on harmonica, and Kenny Sultan on guitar. Buy the album. It's great.

  • Awesome!

  • i have watched it all and still can't belive my eyes O.O

    awesome work dude!!!

  • totally brilliant. nice job

  • Nice. theres some thinking into this...

  • Amazing! How long did it take to model it?

We'd love to see the scene file uploaded to the Phun resource site when it is up and running!

  • I guess about a week, given that I had the idea and started on it almost when I discovered Phun. That included trying several ideas (especially on how to feed the conveyor belt) and a lot of tweaking. I'd be happy to upload it. Where is the Phun resource site?

  • The site isn't quite up and running yet, but will be as soon as we get our things together...

There will also be some forums and resource sites for educators - and also lots of stuff that's just plain phun!

  • That´s freaking great!

I play Phun to but this... :O:O:O:O
