The Liberal Party is an excellant micro-cosm of Liberalism in general in North America. The issue should not be to change the faces of government but to change government itself. I feel government has too much control into people's lives and with its ever growing intrusion it has brought more problems not less. The goal should be limited government and promoting liberty, property rights, protection from theft and fraud, and a true free market. When people learn restraint and to stop telling others what they should do we will have a better country and a far more fair one.

TN79 how on Earth can you say that! Harper is not helping ANYTHING!! He is cutting many things to raise funding for schools and lowering taxes. To name a few cuts he has cut Arts Funding, Women's programmes, and Environment funding. On top of that he wants to put 14 year olds in adult jails! And as for Dion's language barrier, I am disgusted you would say something so offensive! Harper is not a Progresive Conservative-this is a new right wing party and quite frankly its just scary!

Sorry sir,I understand your point.But here in Quebec.Many and really a lot of people live on doing Art. So for here cutting Art its almost as bad as not putting this money for health care.By cutting art you alsoget stuck with the original America thingie.We are Canada,and we must keep that inmind.Art is the way of expression of a nation.If you look in the Canada there is many different person.Just look quebec and alberta. 2 different kind.with Harper in power. I understand that democracies biggest advantage is also its biggest disadvantage, because just cause the majority rules doesn't mean the majority will always make the right choice.
