@danyo133 LOL trust me it's pretty tough to hurt the little guys unless they r far from the floor... mine would defend themselves against my dog, attacked the cats, and were reprimanded for biting hard so unless your playing frisbee with your ferret(s) you r more likely to b bit too hard or scratched accidentally than them.

@mhollis1989 If you get a ferret you have to make sure u never get a dog, or introduce one into a home that has dogs...where cats might be annoyed with them, but mostly get along with ferrets, DOGS smell ferrets as PREY and they will attack and kill a ferret. =(

@TheMimz11607 There are a few things you can try but ultimately its pure patience. You need to understand the reason why its biting you is not to hurt you but they play very rough with eachother. You must be consistent with your training methods. You can use something non toxic like lemon juice on your hands to deter by taste. You can also associate biting with bad things like going back in the cage or blowing in the ferrets face as they find this unpleasant but not cruel. They learn quickly.

@thebigz7776 Ferrets are easily the smartest animals out of the 3. However their intelligence presents with a unique set of challenges. I say get 2 ferrets but only if you have lots of free time and the patience of a saint. If not go with the hedgehog they are cool too. Forget the chinchillas they are stupid.

@lannie100 No, my ferret Lola has NEVER had a stinky odor.Trust me. I thought the same thing becuz I went over a friends house and it fucking reaked! This was simply because that idiot never took care of his ferrets. I was a bit hesitant to get one after my gf begged me. People walk into my (tiny) house all the time and they don't know I even have one until she wanders around in the open. No smell at all. The key is the bedding. Keep that clean+cage= no smell. lol
