I agree...but we have a city "noise" curfew where I live. It is from 10pm until 8am, and even though it was 40 minutes before 8am, I wanted that 40 minutes of peace and quiet!!! LOL
Sorry about all the stressors. I just subscribed, and am here to support you. Can you tell me why you're not interested in RNY and only want the sleeve?? I have a channel too... I had RNy on 05-04-09 and so far, so good. Best wishes.
Hi,Nancy! I chose the sleeve because I am not ready to have my intestines re-routed yet. The sleeve can be a two part surgery, or a stand alone procedure, and is recommended for patients with a BMI over 60..mine is almost 65 now :o( If I choose to have the second part of the surgery later, which would be the RNY or the DS, then I have that option. I am hopeful that I will not need the second portion of the surgery, and that I will achieve my goals with the sleeve. Thanks for asking! :o)
This neighbor of mine, mows like every other day. Seriously!!! I dont mind him mowing, just please wait until after 8. He is up mowing before the sun rises sometimes. It drives me C-R-A-Z-Y!!! LOL
Thanks Shannon! I may be looking into Gastric Bypass too. I am sooo thankful that people like yourself have blogged your journey to ease our fears about it.
Me either, and all this back and forth with tests, and other Doctors, and you are approved for surgery, and I wont do your surgery...blah, blah, blah...I am on edge here. If he says no after my Upper GI results come in, I am going to look for another surgeon. I wasnt expecting this process to take this long...u-g-h!!!
I have haded the acid reflex since before my surgery, and my surgeon did the sleeve for me and i am sure i didn't had any hernia ??? try to see your doctor and another surgeon for another opinion... good luck
Thanks for responding Sonia! I was wondering if anyone else has had the same reflux issues as myself, and since you did, and your surgeon still did your surgery I will get a second opinion if he still says no. I just want it now, and I hate waiting! :o)
Mowing the lawn before 10am is considered rude to me! or maybe even noon... on a weekend!

I know nothing of medicine, but it sounds like after the upper GI you should still get a second opinion. Best wishes!
