It shouldn't be free...people should research before they get an animal with intentions of breeding it to make money. It costs money to take care of a pet. And by paying good money for a vet, they will in turn practice good medicine for your pet. Low cost clinics are not always the best.
I disagree...you should have MONEY to HAVE a pet. Don't get one, and plan on breeding it to make money. It's wrong, and it ends up putting animals in shelters, and even ending up in euthanasia. It SHOULD NOT be free to spay and neuter. People should be responsible before they consider getting an animal and save up for it. They need vaccinations, regular visits, and even money set aside for emergency (which can be in the thousands) STOP BREEDING!! We are in a overpopulation crisis!!
I agree with catsunn2 that spaying and neutering should be FREE, or at least VERY, VERY cheap since it is so important to control the cat population to prevent many unwanted kittens being born and risk being euthanized because no one wants them. In Canada, it costs about $80-$100 to spay a cat. Ridiculous! My friend in Vietnam got her cat spayed and it cost only $4 Canadian $, and the veterinarian even came to her home to do it.
Omgosh, totally 5 stars. The last picture almost made me cry! Clinicalobservation said taht in every state, there is a low cost spay or neuter program. Does anybody know any that are in Canada? I read that most vets need $200-$300 to neuter/spay a cat. My friend is getting a cat from the humane society but it's not spayed yet so she's waiting. It doesn't cost anything, but it can take from a week to a month.
Every pet I ever had, dogs, cats and rabbit have been either spayed or neutered. It's part of being a resposible pet owner. There are low cost spay and neuter programs in every state and even state run ones...costs between $20.00-$50.00. Have a heart, save a life by not helping to create more lifes.
My stupid neighbors down the street let their cats breed and breed. I'm so pissed!!!! I'm getting really mad about it. I am going to get the CAt Coalation her in my city to trap their cats and get them fixed!!!! enough. I'm tired of seeing kitties everywhere that may grow up to be run over or thrown in the pound. I know they won't do it themselves. I will have to do something. There are kittens everywhere and then THEY get pregnant.
You can write to Alley Cat Allies (go to their website) and tell them the area you need help in. THey will send you names and places of people who can help. I hope you do take action. You will feel great about yourself.
I am going to. I already called the Cat Coalation and left a message. I hope they call me today. I really want to try to get the 4 older females fixed. The males too. Thankyou. I'll write Alley Cat Allies too. I want to post flyers around my neighborhood and surrounding ones with the number for people to call. I don't want people to think it's a hassle.
