Its good, but it aint very hard if you can work with PS good.

You can just pick all the colors from photo and the photo is also already filtered which makes it pretty easy to copy.

But good job, would like to see something out of your own mind though...

Hi there, I love your art! This portrait was amazing, with shading and so realistic. Your tutorials are helping me to get started in oc. But just a silly question, I have oc 4.5 plus and oc 4 plus and I couldn't find the spoon pen, from which version of oc did you import it? portalgraphics doesn't have older versions anymore, so I don't know where to get it, I also tried oc 1.1 but i think it's not there. Thanks!

Holy shitm thats awesome, Mate I sketched something in open canvas, used camtasia to recoerd it, and now I have 30 minutes files in avi, the thing is I want to turn that 30 minutes in a 5-10 minutes video, like speed painting, but dont know how, can you tell me the name of the program you use or can you do it with camtasia???

you can do it in any video editing program, like windows movie maker then just speed it up 2

or 3 or 4... times if youre on a mac im sure iMovie will do the job hehe then just render it...

wow, this is so briliant. I honestly can't understand how ppl can draw like this. I'm stunned and speechless. Been looking on Youtube for speed drawings for awhile now and I SO want to learn to draw like this. But, can a amateur like me learn to do this? Or are you just borned with it like a great pianist?

practice makes perfect, its a cliche but its true. you need a good basic understnading of anatomy and proportion and years of experience with photoshop, life drawing helps a lot :]

Years of experience as an artist in general but years with photoshop? I doubt that. I've only been messing with it for a few months, I just got a tablet like a week ago, and I'm already doing decent, not great, but decent portrait work. I think at the pace I'm going I might be about as good as you in maybe another month or so. Photoshop is just another medium. If you already have the skills with traditional mediums you're well on your way.

Haha anyone can do stuff like this, it's just a matter of practice and knowledge. If you can already draw with traditional mediums and have a well rounded understanding of painting you'll do fine with digital mediums. The only difficulty is that when you use 1st start digitally your skill set naturally suffers as you learn the new medium, just keep your chin up through that phase and you're good to go!

i just read the details about the viedeo so yea my second question is solved but to get to the first question again, with the wacom cintiq you can see what ur drawng like on paper but u coant do it with the intuos or? i mean you dont see the picture on the tablet just on the screen isnt it really hard then???

you decide for yourself if its hard when you get it. its just like drawing on paper since you have the pen tool on the monitor and so, to you, THAT is your pen and paper. you dont look at the tablet while you draw, you look at your monitor. Hope this helps, good luck with your tablet!

well the only reason i use spoon all the time is because it works with the pressure of my tablet really well :] i can't really explain...but its kind of like using a calligraphy pen...i can get thicker/thinner lines depending on the way i stoke my pen, the angle, direction and pressure i put on it.

Ummmmmm my hardware is non specific..its just a PC haha. I'm running Windows XP. Yes you can do the same in photoshop of course! OpenCanvas is very similar to it but the tools are used slightly differently but give a very similar effect :)
