Lucky for companies things like facebook have finally added filters on who can post to their pages and what. Lots of work to do but totally right. Pretty hard to make an impression if companies arnt watching whats on their pages because it makes them look completely unengaged

Not sure if Brands should follow everyone who follow them, I think to "Strategically Follow" is the right way
