that's not a distressed bark. If you have a australian shepherd or even a mix you will find out they can get very high pitched when excited. I have a border aussie and she sounds just like this when we get home.
@seedlessgrapes It sounded, at first, like the same kind of bark I would get when bathing my German Shepperd. Well, no I guess it didn't sound that distressed. In the same ballpark though. Ah well, you know your dog better though.
I agree with you and the inpolite greeting but as you say, it only happens with their humans. Our Luci-Fur is exactly like that, gets all excited but only with us.
wow he doesnt bark when he c the car pulling up???? my cousins aussie barks crazily if a car even drives by nvm it actually coming onto our driveway. and especially when he c a person even if its someone he knows he will bark crazily

That's so weird... That sounds like a distressed bark... I've never heard a dog greet anyone with that bark. That's odd.

My aussie does the same thing when I come home from school, they get so attached. That breed is one of a kind, simply the best dog there is.
