Time Warner San Diego is testing the new Samsung boxes. Some divisions already have the SMT-H3050 STB. It's an HD box but without the DVR. The new HD-DVR has MPEG-4 and MoCA. MPEG-4 can allow for more HD channels without sacrificing quality. MPEG-4 will require new boxes and cablecard TV's will be screwed but there are other tech stuff like SDV. The new Samsung HD-DVR will probably allow for a 16:9 program guide.
