Excellent series on Conrad. He is a character and seems to always be "directing." I've have the good fortune to have worked with him in several movies since 1993 and recently directed him in his first "art" film (to my knowledge) "Beside the Manor Selby." But these 5 parts are quite revealing and really key in showing his personality and background. Kudos Mr. Bari!
I had the benefit of meeting Conrad Brooks & Gregory Walcott and from CB I bought some really bad VHS movies IRON BOUND VAMPIRE and BLOODSLAVE OF THE VAMPIRE WOLF... UGH... :( I did however get a signed 8x10 of them both in front of the "shower curtain" from PLAN 9! :)
Conrad Brooks was a neighbor of mine in Los Feliz, CA back in '93. Great guy. Full of energy. Always pleasant. He gave me a copy of "Conrad Brooks vs. The Werewolf" and I laughed my ass off harder than I had in a long time. Good stuff.
backwoodsninja - Thanks for watching. It was a full circle moment for me to meet a connection to some of my heroes from the past who influenced me greatly as a kid. Please share it with friends...
Conrad definately leaves a lasting impression on you. The lesson I take from his life is to pursue your dreams and do what you love. Don't just sit around waiting for an opportunity.
Hi Doug. LOVED the five part series on Conrad. I met Conrad in Baltimore some years ago and we used to talk on the phone all the time about Ed Wood and Lugosi and his time in Hollywood. He was ill at the time with cancer. I bought some of his videos after he badgered me like a hound to do so. I watched them with much glee. So funny. I love that he's hocking coffee now too. What a guy. Anyway, thank you so much for this look at his life. Really loved it.
Nice video, but Conrad isn't the only surviving member of Plan 9. As far as I know Gregory Walcott who starred in Plan 9 is alive and well and just appeared at a Western Convention. Conrad's a nice guy but i wonder how much stuff you cut out of him trying to sell you stuff. He is always "on" so to speak.
Well, hopefully you got to watchthe whole thing - all 5 parts I mean. It was a treat as I said in the film. Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. Conrad rocks! -- Doug B.

To monsterfromgreenhell:
Much appreciate the info. I'd been misled on this and now I want to make a movie about Greg W.

Funny you mention that. I recently interviewed Conrad for an article. He tried to sell me his car! No joke!
