The wing doesn't block light bars at all angles or distances. In fact when a car comes within 50 feet from behind the wing blocks the drivers face (you can see the top of the car).
I don't want to write a term paper on this but it depends on the persons height, how close or far the cop car is from the rear of the EVO. And even then cop light bars aren't block 100% of the time. I should know I own an EVO. The idiot that made that comment drove the EVO for about a mile.
Wow. I just got a lesson on assumption. Yes what you were trying to explain with a ton of words is "line of sight" or "perspective". Yes I am shorter than you possibly and as such the angle I have viewing behind me from the rearview does obstruct several portions of a vehicle based on distance. One of these objects is the lightbar so I make sure to look inside the grill for additional lights.
On another rude and assuming comment, I have owned and driven my '08 EVO X MR for over 28,000 miles.
Speaking of not seeing much with that wing... You can't see lightbars on cop cars with it... LOL

That'd be an OEM wing. They went for the grocery cart look. Sucks when looking at it through the rear view sometimes cause you can't see much.
Still it's an awesome driving experience. :)
