If you ask me, I'd say that Mayor Ryan showed considerable restraint. If you had done that to me, I would have taken your phone, given it to the Alderman, and you would have to ask for your phone back at the end of the meeting.
I'm no fan of Mayor Ryan, but if you're going to hold a phone that close to him and be filming, you should feel lucky he didn't toss it out the window.
As a courtesy, a person should not be that close. It was an appropriate response to something being that close. I am sure that almost everyone would have reacted the same way. For those who are going to spend their time mocking, degrading, and making him out to be a cruel, inhumane, and inconsiderate person for something trivial...I think it's time that each person looks at their own faults before always judging others for theirs.
