So Colin meant calves as in that lower section of your leg around your ankle, but Ryan did a little play on words and replied with "I;m just your average farmer" which implies Colin was complementing the quality of his baby cows. It's kinda out of left field. Just a play on the word "calves".

You know what was oddly coincidental in the scene? When he mentions Romeo and juliet scene there is a scene where the Nurse hands Romeo a rope ladder (tho in the book it was called something else) so he can go to juliet XD. Not a tube, but I still found it similar.
