  • such a great song, builds just perfect and explodes.

    Blue Rodeo , thank you.

  • More people need to know who one of the best bands in Canada are!

  • these guys rock it! Cool :)

  • what a song, one of those songs when it randomly comes on the radio, you just want to just take it all in, not heard a lot out here, just heard it today for the first time in 6-7 years on a Prince George radio station. Great song, thanks for posting

  • Love this band! Keeler Cuddy Canada's dynamic duo...

  • very very very cool tune! thx!!!

  • 6 dislikes??? WTF!!!

  • so country/new wave

  • Great song

  • thanks

  • not the same without the awesome organ solol

  • los vi esta semana en bilbao y puedo decir que fue uno de mis conciertos favoritos muuuuuuuy buenos!

  • esta perrisima esta banda de canada

  • see u guys sat

  • The one song CHOM 97.7 always plays!

  • Always loved this song and video. The close up shots of each instrument and Keelor throughout the song are awesome. The black and white gives it an aura of cool as well. Great Canadian band, great song.

  • This song gets played a lot on chom, montreal classic rock station. I honestly didn't know this was blue rodeo, as i had only heard their later, more country stuff.

  • Lucky! I've seen them twice now (so few opportunities!) and still haven't heard this one live.

  • Just caught them for the 4th time, earlier this month. Until this concert, I'd never had the opportunity to hear 'Diamond Mine' live. It send shivers up my spine when Greg Keelor wailed out "And our love, shiines...like a Diamond Mine", at the beginning. They just keep getting better all the time. If you're a fan of this album, and haven't picked up their latest 'The Things We Left Behind', I highly recommend it. A real throwback to their late 80's sound.

  • crossfire6CAT, the 3 songs they played at the Grey Cup were *Til I Am Myself Again*, *Hasn't Hit Me Yet* and *Lost Together*. They didn't pick the songs, they were fan-voted. :-)

  • @BRBluebird

i taped that half time, and posted their performance

  • Love this song. This is the song that defines Blue Rodeo in my mind.

  • Didn't catch the grey cup half time. What were the three songs they picked?

  • Truly is sad that we only get to hear what "they" want us to hear.

Most of it really is crap,in fact a band I don't even like "corn" did a song that I actually did like "not another hit single" pretty much says it all.Commercial radio blows.

  • would love for someone to upload pirahna pool...

  • Good song but can't play it at Grey Cup halftime this November.

  • good song but if you want to hear the pain of lost love in it's epic perfecton listen to "It makes no difference" by "The Band"

  • This has long been one of my favourite Blue Rodeo tunes.

No other song I've heard in my lifetime has expressed the pain of love gone sour as well as 'Diamond Mine' does.

There's something about the Farfisa organ in the background too, that makes this song really give the nod to The Doors' 'Light My Fire'.

  • Wow, this is my first time hearing this and I really love the bass :D

  • I love greg keelor's voice. so gruff and emotional.

  • sweet singing on this song i actually thought it was tom petty for a while when i heard on radio

  • I worked at McWaters during this video

  • great tune!

  • I worked on this shoot.

    875 Eastern Ave!

  • lucky!

  • Such A Great Song ! Two Words: Amazing Classic.

  • a wicked tune live

  • fuck i love this song its freaking awesome

  • Yeah that is some classic B.R.

  • Went to a performance in Brandon, Manitoba back in the nineties, back when Bobby Wiseman was still with the band...during his organ solo in Diamaond Mine, some dinosaur toys he had on his organ fell off. Without missing a beat, he continued playing with his left hand and retrieved the dinosaurs with his right, and carefully put them back into place. All was well in Bob's world. Wish the organ solo was part of the video. Great concert, great band.

  • YEAH the organ solo is very strong. great taste

  • They should've used that organ in a lot more of there music. Suited there music really well.

  • love these guys This is what Canada sounds like

  • Keelor as a Punker - sweet!

  • I really think of my ex three years garald, some music strikes me to think of him,,i should try and put something in the a paper to see if i can find him,, he wasn't into phones, or the internet at all,,

  • classic

  • A Texan who thought these guys could go to Austin and out Austin the locals. What a perfect album, because of it's imperfections.

The songs that seemed to wander make this work.

  • Can someone please post the vid for their song "It could happen to you"?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Have you ever heard better. What a great talent.

  • Back in the day when Blue Rodeo was making great music. They were like the Canadian Lennon and Mcartney.

  • Best song from their best album IMO

  • Yep. Everything from Casino onward was too polished for me. Diamond Mine's the only album I'll ever have of theirs. The production's a bit rough/full of echo, and the material wanders off somewhat here and there, but that only adds to its mystique/atmosphere, IMO.

  • Best Canadian Song Ever written ....

  • I'm confused, who is playing the solo? It looks like Jim but it I can't really tell

  • the venerable great, astonishing...BLUE RODEO...CHECK THEM OUT....WONDERFULL AND DELIGHTFUL

  • I live in Canton, NY, about 1/2 hr. from Canadian border, Cornwall, ON and we hear Blue Rodeo quite frequently...but then again, a lot of the stations we get are Canadian. So, never mind I guess

  • I can't understand why Blue Rodeo never gets played air down in the U.S. SurelyAmericans can grasp the beauty and simplicity of this rock band great lyrics, bad ass guitar beaucoup talent and humility, eh?

  • i agree with you vagabond, i am an american who got my first taste of blue rodeo while living in timmons, ON for a short time and i was hooked!they are terriffic and maybe its time they get on the airwaves in america and the world too.

  • Ginnlee2

I think I am going to send a couple of Blue Rodeo cd's to our local "alternative" radio station as a Christmas gift and then start requesting Blue Rodeo ever chance I get! I am also going to ask them when are they going to sponsor a Blue Rodeo concert down here (Indianapolis) - the perfect venue for them - mid-west pseudo western attitude. How about starting a grass roots movement?

  • You've really turned me onto a great group, CM, thanks a bunch!

  • somebody should post the video of greg singing the song "what i need", that is a good song

  • Thanks for posting! Great song, great band period.

  • how true how true some best concerts ive ever seen and the acoustic solos are some of the best ut there go"CANADA"

  • Thank God for mp3 players. I was going broke replacing my Blue Rodeo CD's cuz all my ex-girlfriends kept stealing them.

  • if anyone has the video for Till I Am Myself Again I'd LOVE to see it! this is great to see too!

  • I saw them do a small accoustic concert at a Barnes and Nobles bookstore here in Michigan about 12 years ago. there were 20 people there to see them. they played for about 45 minutes. fucking awesome!!! one of my favorite bands.

  • agreed. but i will say. best band ever. too bad that the solo is cut out in this vid.

  • Best Damn Band no-one sees or hears!
