The news paper endorsed Knight. The same day a press about 4 pages long was emailed to them. The release was about Knight's ability to be in a management position. They did not release it to the public. This was prior to the primary election. Should the media endorse a candidate for election? Should they print information aobut the candidates and let the people decide for themselves? Knight was also endorsed by Moreland and Metcalf. They are elected also. But just two people, not the group.

Knight led people to believe he prepared budgets. Tallahassee sends the budgets to the districts. Verified by Capt. Welch and the secretary in Tampa. Knight said his budget was 20 million. The budget for 2007/08 was about 14 million. For 2008/09 is about 17 million. NOT 20 MILLION. Knight said he would bring fiscal sanity to Sarasota. What does that mean? How much does he really know about budgeting? Why would he mistate the facts? The media did not let the public know this, before the primary.
