saber color actually doesn't matter, so who is to say which one is the bad guy? Dorkman wins in both films. You could make it red-on-red or blue-on-green for all anyone knows.
Nice job. A much faster (though not quite as good) way to change the color of their lightsabers would be to apply a bluescreen and "yellowscreen" (RGB difference or Chroma key set to yellow) to replace the blue with red and the yellow with blue. This can be done in Adobe Premiere using Transparancy settings. There should be a way to do it in After Effects to.
Its okay, try making the lightsaber core smaller an maybe a bit less drag on faster movements. Im in the process of making my own at the moment with some friends.

dude, to be honest, I think your effects were better than Ryan Wieber's. I am a lightsaber rotoscoper myself and yours were very good. Keep it up!

Maybe not, but if you go by the first RvD; Dorkman is the Sith one; yet he uses a Yellow colored light saber.
