  • Awww...yellow budgies are cute! My next budgie is going to be yellow, I think.

  • Oh wow, your budgie is yellow all over! How pretty.

  • LOL i started laughing when i saw the birds fly in the backround

  • male or female?

  • aw cute

  • thats a sexy lutino

  • Awww, look at the pretty budgie playing with the swingie swingie!!! <3 <3 <3

  • lol my budgies favourite toy at the moment is a bionicle with swinging arms :D

he just loves throwing off the table and swinging its arms around! its adorable X3

  • What a beautiful bird. Seems to be loving that little swing :P I always have a million swings around the house.

  • i have a very young budgie but he doesnt seem to go on the swing i got him

  • my budgie baby has a similar swing exept his is orange and is the curves has differant toys things

  • my budgie hates swings period.

  • my parakeeet is just like that but its a baby (n does't play with its toys)

  • Well I put a swing and then like 2 of them got on it and started fighting and it just go UGLY!

  • what a gorgeous lutino!!! i have an english lutino, they tend to have quite the temperment i find

as for english being lazier, i have 14 english and 2 american, and most of my english ar very playful and they are also easier to hand-tame

  • My budgies don't play nicely like this...they only enjoy destroying things :(

  • @Reublol They say a destroyed budgie toy is a successful budgie toy. They can be surprisingly rough little things! I once had a lutino who would tear chew toys to shreds in a day or two. it was such fun to watch her. She'd grab a beakful of the toy and shake her little cotton wool head back and forth madly!

  • my birds loved their swings

  • budgies loves playing.

  • i HAVE THE SAME BUDGIE AS U THE YELLOW 1 AND IT HAS THE SAME CHARACHTERE AS YOURS!

  • she or he looks pissed off :P

  • haha omg i have the same bird and the same swing toy!!

  • @DanielleP3230 ME 2!

  • omg my bugie, opal, is such an acrobat and would love that!

    she climbs on everything!

  • my budgies dont hav a swing toy...but now that i think about it...i should rlly get one for them!!! cute budgie!! =)

  • hey can i get some help plz because its the second day i have my new budgie it can perch on my finger. it was on my finger once i took it out of the cage, she was calm she hopped on my shoulder. and then went nuts trying to fly away. it hit the window then it hit one giant mirror , she flew to the top on a curtain wire and eventually i got it back in her back in the cage. how do i train it to not fly away once its out?

  • i know where your coming from i have about 50 small mirrors in my room on the walls and he goes crazy trying to fly into them but ive ad him for a week and a half now and he dont do it any more. just let him fly into them crazily i know it looks like they are realy hurting them selves but he'll survive. my Budgie only gose on my finger if i have my grey glove on. just let him fly arroud madly and he will lear also if you play this video full blast my budgie calls to it and flys to my computer.

  • thats okay but my mirror is over a giant tv on a big stand so wen it hits it drops under near the vires and so hard to get it back.

  • there is no way to train it not to fly. its just natural for them to do it. my keets do it all the time. there will be a quiet moment between you and your bird, then he gets excited and flies off. btw, dont clip his wings. i made the mistake of doing it and my bird didnt make a noise until his feathers grew back.

  • lol same here wen i got my bird at the end if the day i was bored so i took it he got crazy and started flying all over de room and hitting the wall i waz terified so i didnt let him come out for a week but the second time he did fly crazily but didnt hit the i didnt care if he flied i just didnt want him to get hurt

  • clip its wings...

  • wow my new budgie goes chirping crazily when i play this video

  • my budgie LUVS his swing!

he has that star mirror too except on the top.

he climbs up and chews on the paper!

  • My two female birds Goldie and Freddie (yes, we thought she was a boy) used to love playing on the swing - they used to go so fast and high up I would get quite worried!

  • He sleeps upside down? That is not normal. I will see if my budgie likes a swing. Well when I get one this week.

  • Mine too.

  • ive bought my first budgie.had it for about a month and im trying to get him tame. he sings alot but also hangs upside down to sleep...is this normal???? how do i tame him?

  • hangs upside down when sleeping? woah take him to the vet might be serious take a look at mine mine is tamed

  • That budgie plays the way my Simon does. (chewing and hanging upside down) Rudy punches the toys and flings them in addition to chewing on them. Rudy's a pet type, and Simon is a pet/English cross. Simon is goofy though. He's a bratty adolescent right now, and so he chases Rudy a lot.

  • my budgie is yellow and it talks ;)

  • my budgie is yellow also but with green under his wings. just love budgies they are such amusing little things!

  • my budgie is funny he wont go on his swing in the day yet when we cover him up at night he climbs straight on his swing and sleeps on it!

maybe he's embarrased!!! his favourite toy is his toy plastic budgie and his budgie clock!

  • In December I got my new budgie Jiblet. After the death of my Skye. She loves her ladder/swing. My sisters budgie Pixel loves it too. I'm now starting to hopefully build a budgie kingdon in the warmth of my walk in closet.

  • A few of my chicks are like that, but none of the adult birds were tame when I got them, so they prefer their toys to me ;)

  • They do like to swing, don't they (even when they don't have a proper swing, they'll often manage to use some toy to swing on). They can be quite acrobatic!

  • The pet types are much more active than the English Budgerigar (show type), so this one is actually a bit lazy compared to a lot of my other ones ;)

  • Yes, I've heard that the English budgie is much "calmer" than the American one: we don't see much of the former around our parts, and the only ones I've ever seen are on YouTube! (No offense meant to anyone, but I prefer a very playful and active bird...)

  • I have to totally agree with you on that one. The pet types have sooooo much more personality and are always funnier to watch than the English Budgerigar.

  • I didn't realise there were different types.. I mean, I knew they LOOKED different but I din't know there was a name for it. In that case I've had 3 American and 1 English - the 3 Americans used the swing but Charlie (my English) never got into it.. Thats interesting to know, I mean he lived alot longer - 12-13 years (!) VS 3 years max but he was larger and less acrobatic as you say.. I saw some birds at a gargen centre once, they were English budgies, MASSIVE birds they were! Very tall..

  • The Budgies love chewing anything. I can here sea gulls :) Do you keep them as well Lol.

  • LOL, didn't even notice the sound of the seagulls in the background until you mentioned them hahahaha :D As you know, it can be quite deafening inside an aviary ;)

  • Well the birds sound happy :)
