Wonderful video. How all eagles love to soar and fly; it's the landing that is difficult in the first year. TY for posting this. I love all raptors, and it's good to see a year old eagle in flight. May they all survive that first year of learning so much.

It takes a Bald Eagle 5 years to get the white head and tail, they are born brown, then get sort of mottled, in their 4th year their eyes turn amber, their beaks will be yellow at that time and they will start to get white feathers on head and tail. They are fully done with their transformation when they are 7, and then completely white on head and tail.

thank you. I saw my first juvenile bald eagle today in Hastings on Hudson, NY. I knew it was way too big to be the average hawk we usually see around here but I questioned the fact that there was no white head or tail. Your video confirmed my sighting. Thanks. hope you get to film him again.
