He also couldnt mount a Horse, he had to use a step ladder (maybe one episode shows him mounting a horse and this was late). Sammy Davis beat Steve McQueen, and Steve was Fast but not with the Mares Leg but with a Colt! Some of this info on this page is unsubstantiated myth. According to Sammy he won one of Steve's Revolvers in a contest with him. He was smooth as you see him here.

@RoninTXBR549 I heard that too, my friend. I commented on a Clint Eastwood site that he came third to Sammy's second and Jerry Lewis's first at some Hollywood charity shoot out. He was asking if Clint did his own gun work to which I answered that he probably did a lot of it. I heard this when an American fast shooter appeared on a British TV show in the 80s and recounted all of these facts before doing that cup on his gun trick. Maybe you'd know him.
