awesome..im on the 5x5 and iveseen some awesome strength gains on the programme...i do the one arm shoulder press too but unfortunately i can only manage 35 kg for 5 reps, need more work...very inspiring video
Are you only doing full contraction or trying explosive ness as well? I found that when I started doing some heavier weight and using my body to shoot it up that my regular reps got stronger as well.
I train strictly as strongman and powerlifter and love it. Don't take away from body builders though. They are way strong and are way harsher and better with dieting than anyone. It's just as much work just in a different way.
weathered79, if you were a "bodybuilder" or a "powerlifter" you would realise that respect among any type of weightlifting sport frowns upon your "i wish i could put down my controlpad and go to the gym" attitude. Show respect to all these athletes and just so you know.. "bodybuilders"...(drumroll)... they ARE posers.. its their job, goal, etc..ask anyone to define a bodybuilder...
how dare you say this is boring this is a video of pure strength, and showing us new guys to strong man training some lifts and techniques. if you dont want to learn about these lifts dont watch them simple as that. you need to be pationate about liftining and training to even understand this shit, for you to say its boring is a slap in the face to this guy who trains hard to be able to lift that kind of weight. you are probably the scrony guy that goes to the gym week after week with no results
in arnold classic strongman competition they do this with a 90kg dumbell! still nice tho

but bodybuilders do obviously gain strength too, just not as much as powerlifters.
