  • U version Its better man..... mY question its i can play this song in a bass 4 string beginner????

  • Ignore this guy, he's wrong, go listen to Cliff's actual bass track, it's on youtube. See for yourselves. Although the first intro he plays is correct.

  • what the model of this peavey?

  • @jpcc94 It's a Peavy Dyna-Bass Unity Series. Made between 1987 and 1989. It's a neck-through body with PJ pickups. I used Power Slinky strings when I recorded this.

  • I love this guy =D xD awesome!!

  • this is so wrong at the verse part, there you most slapp intro 9 on the D string

  • Great guy, but the tabs are little confuse.. but this will help, thanks!

  • you should make tabs for : Metallica - Suicide And Redemtion

  • Thanks man! Really helped me out :)

  • GOOD VID HELPED ALOT !!

  • Cool Stuff :)

  • You look like Josh Gilbert from As I Lay Dying :D

  • the one person who disliked this has never picked up a bass btw nice vid

  • I dont understand how your playing the verse. its confusing. do I play the 7 and 5 at the same time? if yes, it doesnt look like your playing that.

  • @oldschooldude2 Yes, in Cliff's original version he plays them at the same time. I don't play it that way. Not at all. I have my own way of playing the verses. I couldn't get it to sound quite right playing his version. He had more pedals to work with. At the time this was recorded, I only had a single distortion/overdrive. Sorry if it's a little misleading or if it makes it harder to follow.

  • @tydogg2443 I'm honestly yet to see a cover that plays it the way cliff did, no-one ive seen has played the octaves in the verse section.

  • Hey Man Nice Job May I Ask What The Tuning Is?????

  • @JetKingBass96 Standard(EADG). Says it right in the video. Although the album version is actually slightly off. Some people don't even pick up on it.

To get the perfect tuning against the album version you have two options:

1.) Tune your bass slightly sharp(either by ear or by changing your tuner's frequency from 440Hz to 444Hz)

2.) Or you can edit the track so that it's about 4 cents(Hz) flat.

Let me know if you need further help with it. Live version is typically half-step down(EbAbDbGb)

  • what does the 17h16 mean1?

  • @youraceist that's actually a mistake in tabbing on my part. It's supposed to be a pull-off rather than a hammer-on. My apologies. =[ --17p16--

I'm assuming you know what pull-offs and hammer-ons are. But if you don't, feel free to message me and I'll explain it. Or you can google it. Whatever floats your boat, man.

    but over all great job

what program did you use to make this video and you please tell me :]

  • FATALITY!!! This intro is awesome/ thanks man/ great job!

  • Thanks you really help me!!

  • Great job man!

Why is not Jason's version. With the Symphony he made a great solo before the guitar solo.

  • @jartor666

Thanks... I figured that question would come up eventually. It was just an issue of time. Going through and tabbing certain variations at each section isn't a quick process, especially when you're trying to cover different bassists' versions of the song. I love Jason's version of it, but I wasn't as familiar with his variations. And in the end, it just came down to the amount of time I had to work on the video and tabbing. Maybe I can make a cover of Jason's version eventually. =]

  • The tabs during the video are awesome!

  • Thanks man. You are awesome !!

  • Did good dude..enjoyed it

  • Love that you added the tabs! I wish more ppl would do this. Trying to do it for all of my new uploads now. Great job and great sound.

  • Very cool, and it's awesome that you included the variations of the intro at the end!

    Nice job! This sounds great!

  • wow thanks im trying to get a bass currently -been wanting to for awhile now- allways wanted to learn how to play this song, thanks for uploading!
