Ignore this guy, he's wrong, go listen to Cliff's actual bass track, it's on youtube. See for yourselves. Although the first intro he plays is correct.
@jpcc94 It's a Peavy Dyna-Bass Unity Series. Made between 1987 and 1989. It's a neck-through body with PJ pickups. I used Power Slinky strings when I recorded this.
@oldschooldude2 Yes, in Cliff's original version he plays them at the same time. I don't play it that way. Not at all. I have my own way of playing the verses. I couldn't get it to sound quite right playing his version. He had more pedals to work with. At the time this was recorded, I only had a single distortion/overdrive. Sorry if it's a little misleading or if it makes it harder to follow.
@youraceist that's actually a mistake in tabbing on my part. It's supposed to be a pull-off rather than a hammer-on. My apologies. =[ --17p16--
I'm assuming you know what pull-offs and hammer-ons are. But if you don't, feel free to message me and I'll explain it. Or you can google it. Whatever floats your boat, man.
Thanks... I figured that question would come up eventually. It was just an issue of time. Going through and tabbing certain variations at each section isn't a quick process, especially when you're trying to cover different bassists' versions of the song. I love Jason's version of it, but I wasn't as familiar with his variations. And in the end, it just came down to the amount of time I had to work on the video and tabbing. Maybe I can make a cover of Jason's version eventually. =]
U version Its better man..... mY question its i can play this song in a bass 4 string beginner????

@tydogg2443 I'm honestly yet to see a cover that plays it the way cliff did, no-one ive seen has played the octaves in the verse section.

Hey Man Nice Job May I Ask What The Tuning Is?????
JetKingBass96 9 months ago
@JetKingBass96 Standard(EADG). Says it right in the video. Although the album version is actually slightly off. Some people don't even pick up on it.
To get the perfect tuning against the album version you have two options:
1.) Tune your bass slightly sharp(either by ear or by changing your tuner's frequency from 440Hz to 444Hz)
2.) Or you can edit the track so that it's about 4 cents(Hz) flat.
Let me know if you need further help with it. Live version is typically half-step down(EbAbDbGb)

Why is not Jason's version. With the Symphony he made a great solo before the guitar solo.
