I stopped by a church I passed along the way and just like every usual work day the church was locked I guess I'm just supposed to make blocks until the God Sunday
The interesting thing is that as hosts of the Monterey Pop Festival, they really had no chance to rehearse as they were getting everything together for the show. The other thing was they were the final act of the festival. After the Who, after Jimi Hendrix. Seen interviews that said they were not at their best, but still a historical showing
wel this is the time when some people used to care.they wanted peace and love.now evrybody wants money and power.the music back than had meaning.now its crap.
@yassigole Its more like that was the time when a chance of doing things better seemed posible, reality proved them wrong, war industry haven´t stoped growing, US still "helping" countries by bombing them and Europe still saying "Yes Sir, as you wish" We can´t blame this generation for not trusting one bit the human condition, or for not following certain "revolutions" that failed even when the time was right, but not everyone is about to make it supercomercial in the main stream.
@WhoTFisLeroy i know its been 5 moths but i would have to disagree with you.the peace movement stopt the war in vietnam.the peace movent kind of got a genaration out of a situation where kids obeyd the will of egoic parents and gouverment.the racial face of america got inlightend.please dont tell me the movement did not help at all.us young people have to get less self involved and more social these days thats all..sorry for spelling by the way english is second language.
a global thing happened in the 60's, you can see it clearly in music, as a brazzilian i can say that as the music since the 60's got worst and worst till today, and the same thing seemed to have happened in the rest of the world as well.
naah, come on, look at denny and look at michelle at the beggining of their performance, on straight shooter, she goes nuts on the tambourine... so hot
@REVELES13 Mackenzie Philips (daughter of John Philips) says that her dad injected her with heroin and had sex with her... that's a little messed up lol
He had sex with his daughter. For 10 years. Starting the night before her wedding. When she passed out on drugs. Waking up with her dad on top. California dreamin'
I believe her! I am an abuse survivor myself and it took pure courage to finally tell her story. we recover in our own ways, or kill ourselves. I nearly lost my life before my escape, so suicide was never an option. I started writing my book last night 13 years later and saw her on Today show this morning! NO COINCIDENCE!
In the music they and will be young, and those who went away - their souls to return. So pleasingly to god. Service to the muse does not stand fuss. Talent forever!
man do i wish growin up in the 60's they had the best things going on and all of it was great... who doesnt wish to have been young in the 60's, especially with all the free spirits , and drugs!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm with you on those thoughts!!!!my two oldest brothers were hippies back in the day and the music i got turned onto a very early age :).todays music just has no soul!!!!!
I agree completely. I'm just old enough that I remember my older cousins and their friends in their hippie garb-I thought they looked so cool but I was still just a little girl-not in grade school just yet in 1967. :)

kittenic44 2 years ago
/watch?v=jL2kYcaU1yg Yes, we should take the whole testimony with a grain of salt.
But hey, this is the internet, the louder the better, read a book if you want nuances. And it gives the song an extra, darker dimension.
