There will DEFINITELY be days where you don't want to deal with your roommates, catch the bus, or go to work. Sometimes being a CP isn't all it's built up to be, especially if you go in thinking that you're job is going to be soooo magical and different from any other job. You're going to have to work 5 days a week for minimum wage, but the experience is worth it overall. I had a blast, even though Vista Way has its issues :P Florida is beautiful, the parks are amazing, and it's DISNEY WORLD :)
This looks really great! I'm 16 and planning to do the DCP. The only thing I'm scared of is me being an introvert and I'm afraid of getting lost, especially backstage and on campus. Is it hard to find your way around?
What I want to know is where are the kids falling asleep on the bus! I feel like you improperly portrayed us haha. You need kids falling asleep and mad rushing for the Bus at the Epcot stop at night OH and a cloud of cigarette smoke in the air at Epcot too! But seriously the BEST experience of my life.
You have the option of not living in housing. You petition for it and if it's granted, you don't have to live there. However, that means you don't get a housing ID and you "technically" can't go to housing events.
I didn't live in housing, sure made going seasonal after my program ended a breeze. I didn't have to move out.
haha! I don't know where they ate, but I feel jipped!
FIRST THING you do when you start working - find out when your formal dance is and ASK FOR THE NIGHT OFF!!!! Do NOT call out sick to go to the dance, you WILL get termed.
@ztslovebird They deduct rent out of your paycheck every week and that includes utility/electricity fees. Its around $80-$90 a week depending on how many roommates you have.
@theagelesswonder haha, oh the bus drivers. One day, the first week on location, we had a bus driver who began to stall under the WDW gate and asked us, "How do you get to the Boardway?" Boardway?! What's the Boardway?! Does Disney even have a 'Boardway?'
I really miss it down there. Only thing I don't miss is the bus system going to and from work. 20 minuets to get to work an hour to get home. But I would do it again in a heart beat if I could.
