Sad!!!!! There are modern day slavery everywhere. Not only in Dominican Republic. Come to think of it, we are all slaves because we are all working for a corrupt government, whose only purpose is to take advantage of the labor. I'm Dominican and i am embarrassed to say that there are many Dominicans who hate Haitian and take advantage of them. However, it vise verse also. These two "types" of people just don't know how to let go of the past even though we came from the same kinds of people.
man i saw this movie last night and it was soo bad. horrible film making. so many facts are misconstrued. 100% sensational. even the irrelevant points made in the movie are false. and all the so-called family owned bateyes actually belong to the CEA, old abandoned state owned sugar mills. I heard that the film maker, Bill Haney went to high school with one of the family members attacked in the film. Guess they didn't get along back then, so he decided to attack the family now... BAD MOVIE!
Well i don`t know why elveterano said that dominicans hate Haitians?? `cuz i`m 99.9% sure that he said it because he does hate haitians and looks like he is speaking for every Dominican but i think that you should be ashamed of yourself `cuz I`m 100% Dominican and have nothing against Haiti and/or Haitian people. so reconsider body ( if you hate them name yourself not all Dominicans.
@daulisgonzalez its the system not the people...this si propagnda the DR and Haiti are ruled by 6 families (Funjal,Vinici, etc in Haiti they made sure Wyclef could not run!).) on each side that control together both sides of the island...and the USA benefits form this, if you have not been to the island or research this...you do not know what you are talking about. It is Rich against Poor and the USA is playing it to thier advantage, cheap sugar, less migration to the USA, less Aid!
Respond to this video... Im Dominican and like my Haitian friends, we know these rich families play both sides of the island just like the USA poor, ignorant and uneducated hate people....the educated know whats REALLY going on.
don't believe it its very bias. the problem is the corrupt corporations, and most of those benefit the elite americans ever since they invaded our countries. even dominicans suffer
from this with blackouts and shortages of electricity because it is mostly used by sugar plantains to feed america. Hati blaming the dominican republic for this mess is the equivalent of america blaming Iraq for 911 when they had nothing to do with it.
@RDpapichulo EXACTLY rich corporations who take our beaches away from us and poison our drinking water like Barrick Gold...people need to wake up it is less bias and more RICH VS. POOR!
well u say one thing and others wud say another. so i cant jump and say i believe any1 absolutely. but i find starnge that cariibean news in general,n my country's new stations has not done extensive news coverage about theses incidents, about both sides.
@RDpapichulo There are also alot of RICH Haitians in DR, its really Rich against poor...people dont buy into the race argument many Dominicans mine gold, but sugar cane, and worse jobs in the country of Haiti and DR due to the Rich families that control DR and Haiti....be mindful of what you say. RDpapichulo knows what he is talking about!
