the reason its called droid is because lucas films owns the name of the droid. star wars. duh. thats why lucas films is posted all over this phone if you look on the box / manual. do research.

@ryowxyz The brand 'Droid' is owned by Verizon so they can't use it outside of the Verizon network so they had to rename it for the European version.
