  • I come from Poland. There is a concentration camp in my city where I live - an extermination camp of millions of my countrymen and not only... Now it's a museum of historical truth.

Boarding schools were exactly like the concentration camps - an extermination camps of Native American Spirit for millions of Native American People. No one had the right ...

As history shows, Native Americans are very brave, honorable, honest and beautiful people. Don't let the world forget about it.

  • Yakoke, Anukfohka: Pim anumpa yvt bilia micha biliashke. Thank you. Remember, our language is forever and stands forever and ever.

  • :'(

  • These are very painful words. I remember hearing my great grandmother telling of having soap put into her mouth from speaking in her native Cheyenne tongue. Creator's Blessings upon you, sister!

    Nea'ese

  • OKANAGAN PRIDE!

  • That's a nice poem

  • Thanks..

  • the white race is THE CANCER OF THE WORLD....plain and simple.

  • @99cacahuate YOUR THE CANCER OF THE WORLD

  • @tuesday2998 troll.....

  • @99cacahuate we are. i agree.

  • I really think you should write a book about this. Your poem would be a powerful beginning to telling the story of the wrongs of the indian boarding schools. Here is a super example of a 13 year old girl, Annica Benning, wanted to share her interest in Arizona Native American art and culture with other young people. The governor of Arizona gave every fourth grader in the state her book in 2010. Benning, A. (2009). Arizona: nations and art. U.S.A: Walnut Canyon Press.

  • ALL I KNOW IS THIS THESE BASTARDS THAT KILLED ALL THESE INNOCENT NATIVES CHILDREN ARE CONTINUING BUSINESS AS USUAL, RAPING AND MOLESTING THE INNOCENT. THEY ARE INVOLVED IN FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND HAVE A GREAT MANY FOLLOWERS. THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS BEEN DESTROYING OUR COMMON PAGAN HERITAGE FOR THE LAST 2000 YEARS. IT IS TIME TO TAKE OUR CULTURES BACK AND REMEMBER EVERY THING OUR ANCESTORS HAVE THOUGHT US. WHEN WE DIG UP FROM THE RUINS OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS THE TRUTH, WE WILL SEE PEACE.

  • I'm fullblooded native...Ho-Chunk, Potawotomi, and Meskwaki...piin agiigi/thank you for sharing this knowledge Sister...people need to see and here this...again piin agiigi/thank you

  • I know this might upset people, but I think that religion in general is really a large part of the problem. When you have people who believe they are "saved" by a supernatural being (jesus/ god) with no evidence for its existence, then all sorts of problems tend to arise. Dont you think at this point in time we should admit that we dont know where the universe came from or if there is life after death and just move on together with all humans recognizing each other as equal?

  • Beautiful.....and heart wrenching. Couldn't make it through the entire video without crying. My mother's older siblings all did time in a Residential school in Ontario.....A life-scarring ordeal.

  • i cry when i hear this and see this

  • The real enemy is not people but the cunning spirits that pull our strings.

  • Don't be mad at the biligana (white) they're ur children lol. Cause we make albinos, but no way a white can make a brown. Lol get it?

  • thank you for sharing,

  • All you racist deserve to die is what i meant

  • It kills me to hear these racist comments... You all deserve to die

  • Generations of these descendants, like the descendants of slaves suffer Post tramatic stress because of these attrocities. How sad.

  • This is great. Shu-Ash-ee-Nin-La

  • i dont like this at all its so mean my grandparents and mother whent there i hate how they did this to the natives i am one to they made us lose our language and thats harsh how they treated them like that i dont like how they did that this makes me really sad just to listen to this i know i dont know anything about this but i ask my family about this and i wish i was there to help them to make shure nothing happened to them i just wished this never happend

  • My grandma told me a story of her brothers who went to B. School. She told me her oldest was shot by a priest at the school with a shotgun, it was considered accidental, and he was never held accountable. The other brother was hauled to a hospital for immunization and given a shot that killed him, the boarding school never contacted my great grandparents they just took him. I nor the rest of my family never got to know the previous mentioned. This was all done by supposed people of God!

  • When the whites brought their version of the bible to america they ommit the verse in it that says (you must love your neighbor as yourself. if you cannot love your neighbor that you can see how can you love god that you cannot see) also the bible says god is not partial.. in other words he made us all.. they came for greed in every part of the world they have took it was not about god when they came to this land it was about land and they made sure they killed enslaved everyone in their way

  • Kill the Man. Save the Indian.

  • peices of shit to the core those shitty whites

  • I am a 2nd grade teacher & i have my students learning about the truth about America ... this land was never discovered was already here flourishing and bloooming with a people that only wanted peace .. thank u for this

  • I am a 2nd grade teacher & i have my students learning about the truth about America ... this land was never discovered was already here flourishing and bloooming with a people that only wanted peace

  • @BellaPelagia I wish that I could have learned what you are teaching your students when I was in the 2nd grade. I have lived on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation most of my 19 years and it wasn't until I went to the city of Phoenix for college that I learned what history teachers didn't teach us.

  • no words can express what I feel roght now.....

  • Message to Badwolf73. I am in the same boat as you, My mother was NDN but she was ashamed of it....when I was very young she would speak of good things but as I got older and older...she became less and less NDN until it was all gone. She even bleached her dark brown hair because well, blonds have more fun....I am now doing what I can to discover my Algonquin heritage..but there is little. I am around a few Lakota and a few Wiyot. Those are the ones I am learning from..and all I can find online.

  • I am Indian. My identity has been stripped from me before my birth. I don't know my language. I am just learning the ways of my people, ways that I should have been learning from birth. America:You do not uphold the values that you shove down the throats of the rest of the world. You do not live up to your promises, yet expect everyone else to. Your constitution has been reduced to used toilet paper through your actions against my people. America:YOU HAVE FAILED!

  • @badwolf73 im on the same boat no language or ferly little i can speak had my hair cut thousands wen i was small im now 12

  • @badwolf73 Well said.

  • @selenadelos I am christian, and that is not what christianity is about, I agree with you but do not mistake evil for what is good, Foolishness is a tool of evil

  • thanks for sharrig your very personal message! I hope you will make a difference for yours and all people everywhere that want to live in peace , harmony, and freedom of life and spirit!

  • This is such a nightmare. I pray all the time for people might open their hearts. I hope they will...

  • @selenadelos - You seem so filled with hate that it's a wonder you can function. I am NOT a hater, but I am a studier of history. Why you would hate ME personnaly baffles me. You need help man! If you are a believer you should pray. I mean it; no one should be so hateful, it's not healthy. Good luck...

  • @randy95023 I bet you have no knowledge of the American Indian side of history only the so called dominant society's version which is all fabricated and based on lies in their favor. Please don't try and act like you have a PhD in history; if you did then you wouldn't even be posting BS on youtube. Haha

  • @selenadelos - You know how stupid your 3 messages to me make you look? Typical moron on YouTube. Your hatred of white men is obvious and you wonder why Native Amricans were labeled as "Savages". Had "Indians" been civilized they wouldn't have been treated the way they were. It's the 21st Century now so you have no excuse to remain as foolish and ignorant of reality as you obviously are...

  • Thank you for this. I am canadian first nation Cree. My father is white. My mother is cree. I am being adopted by my grandmother so I can have full native status. I want to learn more about my heritage. My grandmother went through this and she told me about it. Nobody in my imidiate family knows much about our heritage. It was beaten out. Now our culture is very much forgotten. But it is never dead. I feel that as long as nature is alive. Natives well be very much as well.

  • The American Natives got screwed really bad. However, you can NOT put 20th century standards on the expanding Empires of the 15th century. When the Europeans "discovered" the Americas they found people that were extremely primitive. Few, if any used any type of written language or for that matter even used the wheel! Basically stone age man faced a culture that had already entered well beyond the iron age. Native Americans were treated more like raccoons or other "less than human" species.

  • Continued: Native Americans were treated horribly and their situation was basically hopeless. Any chance of survival would have only been possible by accepting Christianity and offering themselves as basically "peasant laborers". Sounds unfair? Yep, but who in the hell ever told you the world was "fair"? Talk to Africans, Asians and Pacific Islanders and ask them how it went when a superior culture planted the various flags of Europe on THEIR land. Same sad story with only minor variations.

  • The Immense Truth Is Here. Thank You For Awakening The Many 2 This Reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We Are Forever. You Can Take The Native Out Of The Wild But You Cannot Take The Wild Out Of The Native!!!! Much More Power 2U ^^

  • Thanks to the internet and youtube stories like this shall reached the world and the Canadians (white man) will have to hang his head low.

  • I paid for my healing trip to St. Augustine, Florida to view Fort Marion where this all began; because, I too was incarcerated & put in Residential School in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Good job!

  • Over 10,000 views. Thank you for spreading the word and learning a small piece of unspoken history.

    Kahts "Thanks" :)

  • @frybreadqueen2008

your truth strikes the enemy harder than any weapon ever could sister

  • @frybreadqueen2008 Very, very moving. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thank you Annie Smith.

  • where did you find this poem ?

  • @hatebeinghopeless I wrote this poem.

  • @frybreadqueen2008 Could you put your powerful and inspirational words up here, under your video, please? I'd love to share them around the internet..It is so important to tell this story everywhere...

  • i think one of many problems with racisim is that the parents of the people who do it are tought by their parents, its something thats taught even though its wrong

  • The Whites that oppressed indigenous people have long since died & only they are responsible for their deeds.

Todays Whites are responsible only for their own deeds.

So far there is little difference.

    What will todays Whites do?

Indigenous people certainly have a right to do the same to Whites as was done to them but what will indigenous people do?

    Stop the hate

    :{ jmg

  • @Sirhansome you are in idiot!!!

  • @ImoJam I visited your channel.

You have recently commented on the Dine prayer of several others.

I find it curious that you can seem to appreciate the Dine prayer, yet insult me without an explanation.

Perhaps you are White and found offence in my words & questions.

    Perhaps you missunderstood.

    Perhaps you must reflect.

    Stop the hate

    :{ jmg

  • @Sirhansome look up historical trauma.

  • @Sirhansome hopefully with all the wisdom of their ancestors they'll will set examples for a better world. Stop the hate. Well done frybreadqueen!

  • @Sirhansome ~really??uum I do believe the last 'boarding school' closed in the early 1970's."Enrollment reached its highest point in the 1970s. In 1973, 60,000 American Indian children were estimated to have been enrolled in an Indian boarding school."'s. so I do not think these people are all dead and the ROOT of these horrible acts come from this government and the policies they keep and the secrets that they hide.

  • @AlohaSiempre Your words are true and let us hope that the hearts of the oppressors feel the pain that we feel in our hearts.

    :{ jmg

  • THERE IS NO DEATH OF TRUTH...we are one and the traditions and love is eternal...you are never lost and never alone....you are loved beyond what is compared to any other illusion...there is only illusion here as truth, as seen with the 3D eye, but what is felt and known as heart, this is truth...within we know and feel, we are one

  • Seen this so many times & it still gets me sad :(

  • This story needs to be told so many more can heal from the painful truth of American History.

  • fucking hate the whites indian out lawz 4 lifes whos all down with me be down wit the brown young faithful call me that add me on face book tyler faihful this is very sad what happen in them dayz and they are still racet to us first nation people . but we can't be mad forever theres alot of anger way below the surface i knoe lots abut these boarding skools if u want to hear my stories add me up on face book tyler faithful

  • goose bump all over me and tears in my eyes .... such a pity ... WE ARE ALL ONE ...

  • dam, things need to be told like that

  • I visited Castillo De San Marcos (St. Augustine, FL) when I got my CEPayment to pay homage to the 72 Warriors of the Mid-West who were imprisoned there & their clothes, hair & language were taken away from them there; because, I too experienced the same fate 1962-67. This was where Richard Pratt began his Cultural Genocide experiment. Canadian Indians suffered the same fate because of Charles Davin Report - "Kill the Indian - Save the Child".

  • I remember running away. I was caught trying to get out of town. I tried running away 3x but each time I was returned. I was punished with the belt when they caught me & returned me back to the Residential School. The 1st day I was there they cut off all my hair. I too was punished if I spoke Cree - other Indian kids made fun of me for being a "Bush Indian". It hurt when my own kind made fun of me. There were many a night when someone was wimpering in the dark - crying because they wanted 2 go.

  • I do not believe the Catholic church is a Christian organization it disguised itself as something good and still gets away with this stuff today. I am a white my father was sent to the mining camps which to were run by Catholics during the depression to support his family. He arrived there at 8 years old and was mollested every day of his life until he got old and big enough to fight. His mother beat him and sent him back when he went home. He died last year and that is when I found out!

  • The result was that he ended up a very serious alcoholic and a complete mental case. He terrorized my family when we grew up. I was hung as a small child. I was beaten so bad as well the only thing that I am normal over is I no they are evil but I know that the real God is good.

  • As a human being who happens to be caucasian. I am forever saddened by the cruelty in this world - & that we still continue to hurt eachother breaks my heart on a daily basis. Until we can all unite and live again with love & light in our hearts it will be hard to find & maintain that peace we ALL need to be whole again.

the question is - why is it still happening?

    Peace , love & light

  • @xanaduisfaraway FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?????

  • @xanaduisfaraway stfu u lil bitch

  • @xanaduisfaraway WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? SOMEONE NEEDS TO BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF YOU, YOU USELESS FUCK!!

  • @jasmoonbutterfly it still happens because that is what they teach their kids first

  • Hey how can u damn say anything to Indians?

  • Wow, that was very hard to see, I really felt the pain for our people.... But we must go on....We must help each other.

  • Thank you. xo

  • so true so true the creep catholic bastards

  • G-d told Israel to commemorate, to remember through all generations, the misery they were victims of and then their deliverance. G-d calls us to remember. That is why the spirits of our ancestors will not allow us to forget. It must be told. It must be remembered. We are destroyed when we do not remember.

  • The self destruction of many is the only outcome

of raking over the coals of 100 years ago.

The perpetrators Won't be the ones self destructing for they are only ghosts in the memories of those who languish in the

    past.

  • The Canadian Government and catholic church were partners in a genocidal race war, employing germ warfare and violent oppression.

They have utterly failed on both counts.

  • Long time ago

    best we forget the genocide

    best we not go there

it only makes the suffering longer and those that languish in it that much harder to overcome it.

many cannot learn to love because they are not strong enough many cannot forgive for they are too weak to forgive. They turn to self destruction and that is why this story is best forgotten. For the self destruction of the Native Indians of North America is an epidemic and

these stories only serve to destroy more minds.

  • Hello dave, Very nicely stated but if we forget genocide, humanity is prone to repeat it.

  • we are the closest to humanity we represent our species the other races envy us for that instead of learning from us they decide to rid of us to forget their own humanity this a pligth of the human race we rage agains the beast in another man we will survive as a race but more inportant as a species ' it's been done before we will do it again this time we learn when & who to trust'

  • We're not closer to being human than any other. But it is true that we are targeted for destruction. It's big money. Many countries want to rid themselves of their indigenous for the sake of "progress and image." But I know what you mean.

  • well as a race we can't be killed there is to many of us , see the Ancients knew this secret that some of us came from over seas from places like india sumer & egypt etc. we only slidly differ in caracter traces & culture tc but biologicly indians here in americe migrated from indians in asia this make us a mojority next to chinesse asians caucasians are a minority in the world this Y they hold must of the power today is a question of balance i believe the NAI will make a

    a strong comeback.

  • @dave777blaster

Its a fact of human psychology that trying to repress terrible memories actually makes it impossible to "move on"

Is there not strength to be found when the understanding dawns that, rather than carrying shame for the addictions and dysfunctions as tho these were intrinsic to the race (as the racists like to depict), that instead these are just the symptoms of the legacy of evil rained down upon good people?

Understanding the full story is necessary for ALL of us to evolve.

  • what is interesting is that it is just not the first american they steal kids from - but also they steal thier own who try to teach things they dont want . it is a predjudice of the way and not the color so much. it is also a money circle for them. they want to be so important that they force themselves on you and there is no way to get them off you til you obey. sad really.

  • I have never understood someone of my blood that prohibited my speaking my own language but am grateful for her discipline. I know not of her plight nor do I want to know but I am grateful for Mr. and Mrs. Choido from Pennsylvannia that made me realize in my language lie the kingdom to my salvation and sanity. To this day the hardest decisions are made in Navajo and not in English. Every single day I run in Navajo until my body catches up with my spirit.

  • this makes me really sad.

my great grandma and great grandfather both went to native bording schools they dont talk much about it. i can tell it makes them sad

  • Wow i'm currently doing research for a poem i am working at the moment and i came across this video... I am part Acoma as well and my grandparents have told me stories such as these. Its stories like these that make me want to truly capture the experiences of our ancestors i would like to send you a copy of my poem once it is done please send me a reply message thanks

  • @doughboi505 so did you ever finish the poem??

  • @xanaduisfaraway ~ omg I am so sorry you where so traumatized as a young child when your daddy molested you in the bathtub, I can see how this story brings back such horrible memories about how ashamed you felt for enjoying what you knew in your heart was wrong. Your secret is safe and the few who know will forever ask the Spirits to guild you in this life. thanks for sharing.

  • @doughboi505 would like to hear the poem if finished! Thanks, Natasha

  • this is sad but very true, what they went through makes me proud because they are still here and they are my relations

  • this is deep it's not easy seeing people struggle

  • Dang auntie, this is awesome!!! Love it!

  • @payuck23 thanks lil Neph :)

  • This is heartbraking...in tears I wonder about the Gods love...this is not what god/creator wants from us. Forcing!! I see blind obedience to the written word mixed with a sence of power over others. Not any common sense or humanity. Such a terrible wrongs towards innocent people...towards little children. "Owning the truth" makes people blind and intolerant towards other ways of living...Even today.

  • I teared up. There is so much hurt in the past that people (on both sides) try to just look over.

  • wow a powerfull video thanks

  • Aww...that made me cry. I also hope this is viewed everywhere. Good job!

  • That was awesome. I hope this goes all around the world. I'm in tears now.
