gee wiz they outta do something with the wii and the internet connection it has... like tune into a station on the wii menu that is similar to this. that'd be so kick ass to have live game with broadcasted narrations from nintendo.
@poopskinTheLiar hhm, well a very ambitious coder could write bits of code into the games rom image to cue up an accompanying mp3 track for anytime a character apears...but the dificult part would be the need to author a completely new emulator that would work in tandum with mp3 software...meh I'm just speculating. keen idea however.
On a satellaview fan blog there are recordings of the original broadcasts!
The Birdos had male voice actors. The little radio play the actors did was critical in some cases because they announced some special effects that changed up the game! They would sick a very aggressive Phanto on you without a key just out in the open! Sometimes all the enemies would transform into small hearts! And Mouser would announce he drop a mega bomb that would break apart into small bombs! It all depended on time.
@999010alex its the same game but named differently. In Japan, it was called Super mario USA. In the US its called Super Mario 2. In Japan the Super Mario lost leves was called SMB2. To avoid confusion, they called the Japanese version of SMB2 SMBUSA
@999010alex It's confusing as hell. The original sequel to Mario Bros. was meant to be released in USA but Nintendo of America found it aggravatingly difficult to play and it was a little more than a modded Mario Bros. anyway so they delayed its release and then took another game, "Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic" and remade it into what we Westerners know today as SMB2. The original SMB2 was later packaged with SM All-Stars as "The Lost Levels", and in Japan, the Western SMB2 was renamed "SMB USA".
This version is the same as the ALL STAR edition ,But was released in Japan only..with commentary from radio personalities...and Time limited gameplay, exclusive game downloads
actually there is a game that goes by the name bs super mario collection 3..or something of that nature it has super mario bros.3 maps but the gameplay is from super mario bros. but i havent had the luck of finding it :(

Thank you for reviewing this extremely rare game. I noticed some of the sound effects where off, was the footage captured from an emulator?

I wonder how hard it would be to make the emulators substitute the radio bits with the aforementioned MP3s of the broadcasts?
