  • I watched your video on knitting two socks on two circs. I am going to try this with gloves. and I am going to use bobbins and do all the fingers at once. I don't know if anyone has tried this but I'm gonna try it.

  • @kd0afk Theoretically, it can be done. Brave of you to try it!

  • Very nice tutorial...I was wondering, instead of using double pointed needles can we use circular needles (the needles that are connected with a cord)?

  • @fayearv Yes - you can certainly use circular needles instead of DPNs, and use the magic loop method to accommodate the extra cord. But I'll tell you this - circular needles can be pretty cumbersome when you're knitting the tiny fingers of gloves. It works great on the hand part, but you may want to switch to DPNs to knit the fingers.

  • This is really amazing. I am doing some beautiful fingerless gloves for my second knitting project. The pattern lost track of it's own stitch numbers and location of the thumb gusset so I dropped the pattern except for stitch numbers and just used your tutorial. Really helpful. Thank You :)

  • i have a question. how many long cast-on did you do when you first started?

  • @cannon515 That information is available in the written pattern. The pattern is available for purchase and immediate download by following the link in the video description, just below the video.

  • i followed your video and i finish the pinky, but i am really confuse about how i can continue knitting, how can there can a working yawn, how did you make it . if i don't know that i can't continue knitting others fingers

  • @maggiecurry Yes - the pattern tells you to "reattach the working yarn" here to continue knitting the hand. If you need help with reattaching the working yarn, watch my video called "Knitting Help - Changing Colors". (Sorry, YouTube won't let me give you a link here in the comments.)

  • ummm, so thanks for the tutorial, but can you move your hands a bit slower next time?

  • so basically if we don't purchase the pattern we can't follow this video then. cuz you skip alot of the number of stitches needed to complete the gloves but thank you for the video anyways, it's very helpful with or without the pattern. It would be great if you do a completely tutorial of how to make a pair of gloves.

    Thanx

  • @annadan2003 Yes - these videos are made to accompany the written pattern that is available for purchase and download, but they are also meant to be useful if you need help with any basic mitten pattern. (The link to purchase the pattern is available in the video description field, just below the video.)

  • What can I say but THANK YOU! Great instructions and EASY to follow. Handknitted gloves here I come...:)

  • this is soooo clear. thanks so much for the pace and the repetition - i have been looking for this on youtube! my mom and i have picked up knitting after about a 25 year hiatus and we are making doggie sweaters without a pattern. i think these techniques will be very very handy!

  • hay quá, nhưng nhìn không cầu kì lắm nhỉ. mình thích cái điệu điệu một tí :x thanks

  • I am very new to knitting. I just taught myself to knit off the lions brand website within the last 6 months. I have two boys that were both preemies so the extent of my knitting has been a basic prayer shawl for myself and a set of preemie hats for the NICU. I am so excited to find your tutorials! I can't wait to start on christmas gifts for the boys :) Indiana winters need good gloves. You have armed me with how to make them!

  • Wow! That looks like a lot of work. I aways wanted to know how to knit gloves. You are such a good teacher. Thank you Staci.

  • @komisobaba You're welcome. Thank you for taking the time to leave me such a nice note. :)

  • 32:09 I am just putting the marking for myself for the part of knitting the thumb, thank you so much for your clear and nice tutorials:)

  • Great video!!! Very easy to follow. I've made fingerless gloves, but this is my first attempt at gloves with fingers, and you just demystified this for me. Many thanks :)

  • Hi staci i love your videos and the patterns i have purchased from you are easy to read and follow. I just have one issue .. whenever I knit with DPN's i always get stretched out stitches where the two needles meet. So everytime I start a new needle the very first stitch is always stretched out and its evident when i finish my project. i don't know why this happens. any ideas? I use the metal needles if that makes a difference. could that be the issue? any advice would be appreciated thanks

  • @toxixlips Yes - I have two bits of advice for you. First, use a wool or wool blend instead of other fibers. If you get "ladders", they will usually disappear when you block (wash) the knitted item. Other fibers won't block out as nicely as wool. Second, be aware of how tightly you're pulling that first stitch on the DPN. Try loosening up a little and see if that helps. :)

  • @verypinkknits staci thank you very much for your response and advice. I will make sure to try these suggestions out on my next project thank you very much

  • thank you for your knowhow ,,,I fell happy somuch... look like easy and funny to make gloves,I will try to make follow you, thank you again, love you somuch.

  • @maplestoryfreak10 You're an eagle eye! Yes, I keep a ball of leftover sock yarn in my knitting basket that I use for scrap yarn. I always use the same yarn for reserving stitches. :)

  • @verypinkknits Thank you for telling me the exact name... did you get my reply from when you said that I'm a better knitter than I think I am? Well if not here's what I said...And that's also saying something, because I'am a guy! And I've been knitting sense I was like 8 am I'm 11.

  • @iandbobisawsome No, I didn't see that reply, so I'm glad you said it again! That's great! Keep knitting! :)

  • I'm sitting in Austin, TX on a 104 degree day....knitting a scarf out of Malabrigo watching you knit gloves. I'm so ready for WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thx for the post.

  • @key8422 I'm in Austin, too...sweating like crazy. But I never stop knitting! Seriously - with my family in Alaska, I have a lot of Christmas knitting to do, and I have already started. :)

  • I loooooove your tutorials!!! They are always so helpful and easy to follow!

  • @toxixlips Great! I'm glad you're enjoying them! Thanks for the note.
