Hi! I got an email about you wanting to possibly chat with some of the YTSO winners and thought I'd take the initiative and message you about it. And by the way, I really appreciate what you're doing as a YouTuber- I've been doing similarly for the past 15 months on my channel and have been lovin' it! I hope you'll accept my friend invitation so we can continue this conversation. Thanks, Hilary!
WOW, Hilary Hahn is the ONLY violinist to personally give us updates of her musical career. This gives her a very warm, approachable, down-to-Earth quality, almost like if she was your good friend from school or your neighbor. And she is very cute too :-)
Congratulations, Hilary on your Grammy award for Schoenberg/Sibelius! You are incredible! Also, enjoyed your premiere of Higdon with Indianapolis!!!! Brava!
I'm surprised that you gasped on the news of being nominated for more Grammies. IMHO, your musical talent is above that of most Grammy winners. You're one of the very few today who can play "real" music You're a gift to Classical music and you don't need accolades to prove anything. BTW, I always cherish the Bach encores at your concerts. Thank You
Your Arnold/Jan album more than deserves the Grammy (the other contenders too, I'm sure, but I mean it). When you're next in Paris, and if you have a little spare time (ha!ha!ha!), could I steal some minutes of your time to come and meet with my students? I know it's unrealistic, but still...
How fun to be able to perform with another great living artist, Ms. Schäfer!
I saw you perform Tchaik in San Francisco this December~I admired your choice of dress, I thought it matched the piece quite well. Even though my seat was almost at the very top of Davies I could see and hear the colors.
Great News! Congrats on Grammy noms & Happy Birthday. You will have tons of more Grammy trophies coming to you that will soon surpass Nora Jones snatched up.
Will look forward seeing you in Opera City concert next month. Happy Holidays!
You're my inspiration as a violinist. I've been playing for 8 years and listening to your music always drives me to learn more, play more, get better and discover what I can do. You and Heifetz are tied as my favorite violinists and between the two of you, I've got more than plenty to work towards. :] I wish you the best of luck with the Grammys and hope Munich is rewarding for you.
Hil will win a Grammy, no doubt about it. The Shoenberg/Sibelius breaks new ground in technique alone, and of course has the passion we have all come to expect from HH, but taken to a new height. It is her greatest recording and would win a Grammy in any year.
You DESERVED that Grammy. It's amazing how you are so good but humble at the same time. I really enjoyed going to the Syracuse concert that you had on May 5th of last year and listening to you play...not to mention getting a signed copy of your newest CD (at the time) :-)
Hi Hilary, congratulations with your nominations and good luck with the award!
I attended your concert in Tel Aviv last year. In fact, I'm the guy who stopped you on the street afterwards (completely by chance - was waiting for a taxi) and asked for an autograph, making you put down the violin and all the other stuff you were carrying. I still feel sorry for that :)
That concert was one happy coincidence for me: in addition to getting the autograph, I also learned of it by chance the night before and rushed to get a ticket.
I didn't really understand Bach's violin before stumbling upon your recordings of his concerts, and now he's one of my favorite composers. But records fade in comparison to the live performance you gave that day. Please visit Israel again soon, and this time with Bach concerts!
