personally, i think she's good but not anything special , and i'm a real hip hop head, i feel bands like the invisibles , friendly fires or even natasha(bat for lashes) would have been more deserving, but good luck speech ,

So really I think its all over dramatized what shes sayin.
I read one of her interviews about she 'knew a lot of dealers' and 'dabbled in drugs' blah blah....theres enough people out there who actually went thru the real thing...this girl got not even a criminal record or ever been to prison but shes all talkin about it like shes been thru all that.
My opinion, anyway.

i'm happy for her for winning and coming from being homeless to win the mercury prize but i'm not too impressed with the production or her flow. hopefully she'll get better.

I dont even thinik shes really ever been homeless.....well not in the sense of actually sleeping on the streets or in parks.
Its all nice and cosy if you got a hostel or sleep at your mates places here and there but its a complete different thing to actually be ON the streets.

She says everything on the radio sounds the same. She should say every track on her album sounds the same. Music on the radio in most part is fixed by genre to each station. ie dance, chill, contemporary etc. but some stations do play a mixture. She may be write in part but their is still a wide selection out there if you change channels. We certainly will need to change from her C.D. if we don't want to hear music that sounds all the same. How this won The Mercury's is beyond belief.(2/10ALBUM)

me and my mate saw her at glasto, he managed to get on the mic live with her. she is really good, really chilled and safe. we managed to talk to her and per partner, they are great.
