Ok, so I selected the region i wanted, clicked on the paint brush, made sure the foreground was black and whatnot, but no color appears..I'm definitely doing something wrong, but i just don't know what lol...
Hm... Thank you very much, but I have a problem. Every time I use GIMP, eventually, the Layer, Channels, Paths box goes away, and never comes back... What am I doing wrong? x.x
rather than making a duplicate you can just duplicate the layer, then make the top layer black and white, add a layer mask and mask where you want the colour to be seen. What you show here is ok, but there are easier ways.
what did u use to maKE THIS VIDEO?

ffkgutten112 11 months ago
@ffkgutten112 Yeah, you can... I might make a better version of this, myself. It's pretty hard to understand, plus there's an easier way.

instead of using the paint brush to put in the color in the black and white image, use the eraser it should work to put color in it
