  • what did u use to maKE THIS VIDEO?

  • Can't you select everything then de-select the part you don't want black and white? :)

  • Thanks man :D

  • fank you

  • it takes you one min to tell us how to duplicate something and another 2 to go through modes of making from colour to grayscale, we only need one way!

great tut really easy to do though ;D !

  • on my gimp there isn't the layers thing that you have on the left of your screen HELP

  • @MMORPGgameplaya go the windows tab on gimp and go down the layers (: you welcome

  • oooor to save more time... duplicate the layer, click one of he layers and grayscale it :)

  • Deserves way moar views. This was amazing tutorial, bro!

  • wtf dude when start brushing the only color i get is dark grey,, great tutorial you yurk

  • duplicate layer colors, componets, channel mixer, monochrome..then u have simple grayscale...

  • It looks like you already had the color selected on your cursor when you started. How do you select the color?

  • u sound exactly harry potter

  • Sorry, 1:25

  • 1:35

Or you can just click duplicate layer in the layer dialoge?

  • @ffkgutten112 Yeah, you can... I might make a better version of this, myself. It's pretty hard to understand, plus there's an easier way.

  • is there away of making the pic coloured if the original is black and white

  • Ok, so I selected the region i wanted, clicked on the paint brush, made sure the foreground was black and whatnot, but no color appears..I'm definitely doing something wrong, but i just don't know what lol...

  • Hm... Thank you very much, but I have a problem. Every time I use GIMP, eventually, the Layer, Channels, Paths box goes away, and never comes back... What am I doing wrong? x.x

  • @EyeOfTheBlackCat Just go to windows, recently closed docks and click layers, channel undo window should come back up :P

  • Am I the only one getting problems...I miss PSP!!!

Everytime I paste the image it appears as "floating selection" and then I can't do anything with any of the pictures =/ Anyone else?

    Or can anyone help?

  • you could just select the coluors you want to keep, invert selection and colours-desaturate :)

  • @zipo6p Yep, pretty much :P they make it far too complicated...

  • search "worth100 photo effects amazing cool awesome" it rocks

  • rather than making a duplicate you can just duplicate the layer, then make the top layer black and white, add a layer mask and mask where you want the colour to be seen. What you show here is ok, but there are easier ways.

  • thank you nice tut! 5/5!

  • Helped me out so much thanks

    5/5

  • :/ I did it exactly the way instructed, but no color appears. . .

  • instead of using the paint brush to put in the color in the black and white image, use the eraser it should work to put color in it

  • THis was really easy 2 do :D

  • That look's realy simple I think I will use this :)

    5/5

  • tnx
