  • Guns, guns, all kinds of guns <- best line, lol

  • Sound is off

  • Am I the only one really disturbed by the way he starts talking right about 3:00 in?

  • Spend it!

  • America is lucky everyone was so obediant back then... If the americans of today could choose between Tax or No tax, 70% would depart to the Fourth Reich.

  • but why pay taxes at all when Gov can just print more money?

  • @akompsupport

Printing more money decreases it's supposed value. The more money there is, the less a dollar is worth, the more expensive things get in turn.

  • You do of course realize that all the services you mentioned were also run BEFORE personal federal income tax.

  • People were expected to put money aside and then fill out quarterly tax forms (during the war) and then send in what they owed in taxes unlike today where the taxes are deducted from your paycheck and you only have to file once per year. Many people think we are overtaxed but the U.S. is one of the least taxed nations in the world. Our taxes are still just as important. All emergency services, schools, libraries, roads, parks, etc. Just try to run those without taxes!

  • Pull up "America:Freedom to Facism" movie by Aaron Russo, the man that did The Rose, and Trading Places, and alot of other stuff in Hollywood. Also ran for governor of Nevada at one time. Go watch his movie on the IRS and the income tax! Talk about being enlightened! WOW!!! Seriously, go watch it!

  • Now that was scary.

  • did anyone note how the good guy was European(Irish)? Yea, since u know the UK was on our side too.

  • well now we know y the American Government go to war so much

to persuade their citizens to give them money

  • My parents met each other in one of those WW2 defense plants. Making engines for bomber planes. No, she wasn't Rosie, she did office work, and my dad was an accountant.

  • They didn't deduct taxes off paychecks back then?

  • No, they only deducted taxes from government workers at that time. They didn't get deducted from regular citizens until after 1943. Because before the Victory Tax (1942), the majority of citizens didn't pay federal income tax at all.

  • @kjohnson2004 Sigh, the taxes on everything is so terrible. And more and more coming down the line ... Good lord, how did people every allow and pass things like property and income taxes without rising up and throwing out those in office! They always sneak in something small and 'temporary' ... and 60 years later it's 15x what it started as!

  • are you kidding me?
