  • ehhh, something about the shading of those puppets is kind of offensive to me. couldn't you have made them a little more...realistic? sorry, had to say it.

  • kanay talent

  • Christopher u got to teach me that and what up with the hair

  • I remeber seeing you at Club Metro. You rock!

  • So glad I found this on Youtube. I remember watching this when I was a kid.....good stuff.

  • just a question did you know the name of the black guy in a violet coat who impersonated michael jackson, bee gees and other artist, he also performed in just for laughs variety..

  • Look! Gorillas!

  • excuse me but, do you mind if i ask

quite awhile ago a "red faces" skit on a show called hey hey it's saturday caused an upstur in the media, Quicky forgotten, however, it was decleard racist that these "white" guys painted their faces and danced to a jackson 5 song. why when a "black" guy does it, it's in good taste?

and if perchance i have offended think but this and all is mended....

you can just delete this comment and i'll never think twice of it again.

  • @pivotdj1 Well you have to think of the history. Firstly in the red faces skit it was genuine blackface. White people in makeup to look black which is the primary reason it is considered racist since it dates back to the blackface style of acting which created a great deal of negative black stereotypes. In this case it is a collection of dummies, not very high quality facades of black men with sunglasses and Jheri Curls. The lack of makeup, and the lack of humanity helps separate this.

  • Good job man..I think I saw you do a performance when I was really little..but u were doing it with the Village People theme...if not there was an act just like urs. Either way keep it up bro!!!

  • Wow! '89 in Montréal! Call them, you should be back in the best comedy festival, I would go see you! Easy shot, I live in Montréal.

  • This was so cool. At first I thought about the bars, but then I was so into your performance that I forgot all about them. Very hilarious. I showing all my friends. I wonder if Micheal got a chance to see that cause he would have gotten a real kick out if it. GREAT JOB :)

  • I caught this act on a TV show and never could find out who did it or where I could see it again. So happy that I found it quite by accident tonight. I still think it is great and very innovative. Are you still doing something like this today?

  • FunNotNuts You are an asshole. Have you ever actually created something yourself or are you one of the slugs who has to dis other peoples work to make you feel good about yourself?

  • TOTALLY AMAZING! Christopher you are the BEST! Our local Fox TV News Station here in Michigan just recently showed your half-time performance at the UConn Florida State Game. I then had a flashback to your performance of my favorite Jackson 5 song shown in this video. I was delighted to be able to view it again! Do you ever tour around the country? I would LOVE to see more of you and your wonderful talent!

  • If you are a manufacture looking for new products ideas new tecnologies please contact me by email businessmanlife@live.com

  • @MrHassan297 Goddam Spammers.

  • that was great really original....i liked it alot...where did u come up with the idea

  • Cool. I'm wondering though why you don't use something transparent for the rods at the front?

  • @stephanCurran This tape was shot VERY EARLY in my career... I was young and stupid... and for some reason, thought the poles should be white. Now they're all black, so even though thery're visible... the audience chooses not to see them.

There is nothing existing that would allow me to have clear poles. I looked into it... there's only acrylic tubes... and they shatter.

  • @Christopher89123 Interesting about the audience not seeing the black poles. Similar to the experience of Western style Bunraku, I guess. Pity about the acrylic tubes. Some hi-tech materials might become feasible in the future, but not today...

  • @stephanCurran is that really u in the video? what else have u done?

  • @outlaw3365 No, not me; it's @Christopher89123.

  • @Christopher89123

Chris, you really should be back on telly....

There should be a revival of the Saturday night variety shows....

  • Forget the Michael Jackson Suggestion. I see you already did it. lol!

  • who r those dark but so dark pupets standing in jackson 5?

  • You know what, I've seen these videos for years and love them every time. It takes talent to put those puppets together, to come up with the choreography (and not trip over it!), and to get out there and perform. Thanks for entertaining us...this is a great act and I'm glad you still enjoy your job after so many years, Chuck! More power to you! :)

  • great

  • Yes, you are talented. But once you've seen it, what next? It's like singing the same song over and over again. I know I sound awful and don't mean to, but that's how I see it.

I am a psychic medium by profession. (you asked) You know, being a bridge from this world to the next for the police and bereaved folks. So I guess my world is very serious. I'll use that as my excuse for my bad manners. :)

  • This has been my day job for 23 years.

  • all i can say: freaking amazing dude *thumps up*

  • wow! That was amazing! =) And u did a good job keeping the puppets on. =) i wonder, tho, what went through your head, when u realized you have forgotten to buckle the harness... lol =)

  • Uh... mostly... "Don't panic".

  • @Christopher89123 How did you control the mouths?

  • you mind if i ask how you operate the mouths? i guess its a solenoid, but is the switch in your hand? brilliant act you got there.

  • Good guess. Originally, I DID use solenoids, and made a glove that triggered them. But the glove started to electocute me. lol So I switched to control cables (same thing used to operate a bicycle brake). I can't tell you what I use now, 'cause there's thieves out there. lol
