  • Hold on... could ths beautiful girl in minute 0:49 be Patricia Paulin? The other and less known but greater-in-voice Berger girl?

  • @JPandCo Yes! looking into it, it is! left to right: Patricia Paulin [aka Patricia or Jenny Naska], Sheila, France Gall. You have a keen eye!

  • Belle Chanson. Paroles merveilleuses. I enjoy the 1968-- 1970 period of France Gall. The very last Philips recordings and then other labels (AZ, etc.). A lot of serious songs, (like this one, L'Hiver Est Mort, Les Quatres Elements,) as well as some of her German songs from that period are wonderful. Also, her second-to-last Gainsbourg song, Les Petits Ballons, is from this period -- great! But alas, this part of France Gall's career is so overlooked. Why? : post-yéyé, pre-Berger, that's why.

  • @torridscene Merci pour ce commentaire très étayé. From the in-between Gall' s period — post-Philips, pre-Berger — what she recorded on "La Compagnie" label, stands out, IMHO.

  • @torridscene, I also prefer her serious songs... with more profound lyrics (:

  • Hello jeanleto2. I don't think you will remember me, but I was the person (anastasiapetranova) who requested this song from you, and you were kind enough to upload it. Thank you again. I will always appreciate what you did for me. This is my favorite song from France Gall, and I listen to it often. : )

  • @PetraNova1 i thought i was the only one who had this song as their favourite :), good to know i'm not!

  • @fczlatan Les Sucettes used to be my favorite song of hers until I became old enough to discover the double meaning behind the lyrics. :P LOL!

  • @PetraNova1 omg yes!, pretty much the same. Since discovering what Gainsbourg done i never really liked it :(, it's a shame.

  • Quelle jolie frimousse !

  • Merci!

  • goddess.

    Jerry Tsai is buying

  • What ??

  • thought you requested an English or Spanish translation of the lyrics ! Sorry !

  • Thanks! I think French artists are under appreciated simply because they don't sing in English and thus North American and UK media don't give them the respect that is their's.

  • I tink the French yeah-yeah girls had more prestige in the sixties. First lots of them were singing in different languages. Also there was some prestige coming from the well appreciated French cinema with actresses such as Brigitte Bardot, Françoise Hardy, Jane Birkin and MIreille Darc deflected to the pop music. There are still some pursuing two careers simultaneously but not as many [Vanessa Paradis, Charlotte Gainsbourg].

  • @TVGuido i think thats a terrible reason. LMAO. "its good because they dont speak english" Or perhaps because its just good art! I would invest french lessons and find out what shes talking about before you presume the music good! For all you know she could be calling you a moose.

  • You, with your peach complexion Your mouth in cherry And your taste of grapes You, with your laughter of fresh water Your clementine heat You live in a garden And I will stay tomorrow Our love will be beautiful In the deeps of your garden At 3 Apricot Road Apricot Road Apricot Road
  • Poor sad boy

    Gardener of winter

    Poor greenhouse plant

    You have an empty heart

You do not see the sky

    You cry for sun

    In the trash bottom

    In my arms of love

    You whisper me

I love you and I want you

  • You, with your peach complexion

    Your mouth in cherry

    And your taste of grapes

You, with your laughter of fresh water

    Your clementine heat

    You live in a garden

    At 3 Apricot Road

    Apricot Road

  • Poor sad boy

    Prisoner of the city

    Poor sterile fig tree

    Poor sad boy

    Overwhelmed by noise

    Suffocated by boredom

You can't take your eyes off me

    You pell off my skin

    Your desire eats me

And you tell me those words

  • Aaaaar!

  • Vraiment super, j'adore !! merci

  • Merci !
