I was a "closet" bubblegum rocker. I also kept my "secret" crush on Susan Cowsill who was about my same age. Guys my age were only supposed to like the older chicks. The Cowsills were great!
Great job with all your videos! I hope Susan and her band comes to the Northwest ( Spokane specifically). She has a great voice and always did. Even as a 7 year old she had tremedous talent and stage presence. She can outsing most of the female singers in their 20's now. Glad to know she and the others are still singing and writing music.
who didnt love susan back in the day?i rediscovered her here on youtube.from a cute young girl to a beautiful woman right before my very eyes.that voice!her version of drunken angel stands above all.susan cowsill remains a step ahead of all other female singers.
There's another video in the works and should uploaded in a couple of days...it is also a tribute to Susan...watch for it...it will be called, IF YOU CAN'T HAVE IT, KNOCK IT by the COWSILLS!
LOVE Susan! Thanks for this great tribute. I got to meet Susan at BB KING'S in NYC and she far exceeded my expectations. I think she's just great...and what a talent!
Well, I see all hell's a poppin' here! Interesting video with decent intermezzo effects. However, to address a comment from our host -- Here's Linda Ronstadt performing "It Doesn't Matter Annymore" --- /watch?v=Us26qEQyTPk
Just 35 years huh? I've been into music since 1965...plus I've been a radio announcer in Dallas/Ft. Worth for 5 years...a musician for 40 years. I still believe you're less savvy than you think.
what rock did you crawl out of...you obviously have not heard Susan's solo efforts....The Cs rarely used "session" musicians after their 2nd album....those same studio musicans never had anything to do with their harmonies. I admire Nicks as a performer and writer, Ronstadt was just a singer. Cowsill is a songwriter and musician...ever see Linda play an instrument onstage? Compare SC to Sheryl Crow, if anyone. Get more music-savvy before you upload your comments.
My friend...i have been in the music industry going on 35 years. I have heard EVERYTHING Susan has done as a solo artist! I am more "music savvy" than you can ever dream of being! Anytime you want to challenge me on the facts...then just bring it hot-shot!
Look..Susan Cowsill has always been a cool chic..for sure! And she was quite the cutie-pie when she was a kiddo. However...lets not make her out to be a Stevie Nicks or Linda Rhonstadt...ok? Susan...and for that matter her brothers as well..has never been a prolific songwriter. She DOES have a pretty voice when she gets hold of the right song...which is all too rare. Their harmonies as kids were impressive..but they used alot of session musicians in the studio. And "mom" should have stayed out!
you seem more smitten with Susan, than even I am! I did get to meet Susan last week in Austin, got to speak with her and even hugged her. She is such a great and nice person...yes, indeed I love this person. I plan on seeing her again in a month in Oklahoma City.
Glad you liked the video...rate the thing. It makes no sense it's only rated at 4 1/2 stars when I know this is a great artist , great song and great video! Also check out "Hello, Hello" with 600+ hits. Great to hear from other Susanfans out there!
Glad you liked the video...there's even a snatch of Susan's daughter Miranda in this video...sorta like "Susan-The Next Generation"...hey Bajemea thanks for the comment, but I wish you'd come back to the video again and rate it!
Great song but I really don't get the tribute aspects to this very forgetable "talent". Time to move on with your life.

Check out "Lighthouse," her latest CD. She's a major talent. Great, great CD.

You're right! I watched Ronstadt performing as you suggested. I was wrong...when she first broke, she was playing an instrument onstage...sorry!
