i have to disagree with kurtle15 nitro cars drift better in my opinion than electric. i have the kyoshoinferno gt and its much easyer to drive side ways than my palls electric one

nitros can drift... but no where near as good as electrics can lol it wrecks the clutch in them. but there are SOME nitros that can drift, but not as good as electrics.

You know why do you guys buy all those junk cars when you can buy 1 nice car for a little bit more like a Tamiya TB-03 or TA-05 or an xray or even a sprint 2 from hpi its just a little but more from those manufacterers and it will last you alot longer and they come with full bearings and full tuning options !! TT-01's need alot of aluminum just to take out slop outta everywhere when you could be buying hop ups that actually make the car worth something like aluminum shocks or heatsink fans !

you are right, there is a lot of rc cars with rubber tires (more than plastic by far). But rubber doesnt drift, it has too much traction

Well...I would like 2(because I like these r/c cars...and I wanted one since ever)...I had one when I was about 8 but....it wasn't 2 good,it was on batteries and they runned out verry fast!I still have it,but don't know if it works :D

the Tamiya TT01 kit is a very good beginner model. go to your local hobby store (LHS) and ask them for one. the RTR comes with everything you need out of the box. You can upgrade the rechargeable battery pack to a bigger one, and a motor to a more powerful one later on. Also all the parts on the car can be upgraded as well

the RTR is already assembled, the really low end one are $200ish, the fun ones are $300

go to your LHS and get an HPI e10 its around $180 it drifts and if you switch weight around it will race regularly

empyrefb, I remember the old days when I had a train toy... it was an old toy (1990) and it had a smoke coming out of its stack, I can't remember what it did but I remember I had to poor water into a small bottle that was fitted inside the train, so it was water vapour not smoke.. and yes, it was electrical train. Also, there is that "dry ice" which makes some kind of smoke and there are those small smoke machines that make smoke: smokemachines(dot)com it may use the same method but low voltage

Note: You have to protect your rear shock tower and other plastic pieces from the smoke emitter, or they WILL melt. I think the driver wrapped the emitter in something fire resistant.

Smoke emmitter? Where do you get them?! I've been trying to find things to make realistic smoke for RC drift and your video was the most realistic I've seen for lower speed drift. the other one I saw had way too much smoke. yours was good. is there a site I can get them from mate? thanks.

A smoke emiter was used to simulate tire smoke. The driver fabricated a mount that kept the smoke emiter from melting the body/chassis.

Yea its fake.

Ive seen RC cars lay rubber (albeit just a tiny patch) but it would be extremely hard to get that kind of smoke naturally.
