  • nickuh you crazy

  • I remember, about 4 years ago I had this presentation in front of my class, the topic was music and I chose RJD2, easy figured when I listen to this fine tune again. Later I even saw him live wich was truly majestic!

  • this is a scary beat, if i was locked in a pitch black room and this came on i would scream and start crying like a little girl LMAO no joke, because in my head there would be like 5 scary IT clowns going around in circles dancing to this song. BUT then after the song ends Ante Up by M.O.P. would come on and i Roy Jones Jr all those clowns like an O.G.

  • I wasn't even aware that this was a cover until I saw that I bookmarked Bless the Telephone on Pandora like, a year ago haha. I love both versions a LOT :3

  • such a beautiful song....

reminds me of when my husband was deployed. just waiting for those phone calls.

  • It's strange the way you make me feel

With just a word or two

I'd like to do the same for you

-- its beautiful yet oh so simple :) I love it

  • Original I like more, but I can see the appeal here.

  • This+Rainy Mood = Ultimate Eargasm

  • one of the best songs for breakdown :) but i lovin it!

  • 7 people live short days...

  • i lost myself in this song, e a c h a n d e v e r y t i m e.

  • Simply beautiful! I think that more words are not needed ..

  • This song just completely melts me away. The first time I heard this at a fraternity house at 4:30 in the morning, I was feeling odd. And this song just recaptures everything I feel about everything.

  • tears in my eyes

  • @ raener & daftrhetoric its hard to find a good music genre that has the same feel and creates the same ambiance as rjd2 or nujabes especially because of all the different beats and rhythems i wish i could travel to the east coast so i could expand my music selection please suggest other artists plase

  • RJ thx so much, been to a couple of ur showz in tha atx and it was awesome.

  • Has anyone ever heard nujabes????

  • @pandaLMT

    Hell fucking yes.

  • @pandaLMT He's one of, if not my favourite, producer. Check him out people if you haven't.

  • @pandaLMT I was thinking about how RJD2 is a standout in my repertoire of taste, about what else might evoke similar feelings. Jun Seba was all I could come up with. This comment made my night.

  • @pandaLMT dude feather by the nujabes is awsome

  • love RJD2! especially this song! its relaxing and chill

  • this is cool and shit but i have to agree with those that say that Labi Siffre's original is a lot better, and i would usually side with the song with drums, but not in this case.

  • fkiin lovee ittt!

  • I often forget about RJD2, but everytime i start listening to him again i find something new... what a cool artist

  • lovelyyyyyyyy.... freaking good :)

  • my favourite song off since we last spoke

  • Vary Butiefull All Around Stuff - Thenk You so Much For Puting This Grate Art On Youtube - Any Ways Ya Peace = )

  • reminds me of underwater scene in a video game but ya sweet song

  • So underrated....

  • Very sad Song

  • it is a sad song and not in a bad way

  • OLDE ENGLISH USES THIS SONG in one of their sketches, thats awesome

  • I simply love this song <333

  • I Agree gree!! (not another teen movie quote)

  • Big ups for music!

  • Yeah man. Its so chill too.

    Great work man.

    Sick

  • Sick song Thumbs up if u agree

  • Damn. When I'm freaked out sometimes, I just listen to this song and forget what I've been worrying about. I feel this way about a few people... 5/5. Great vid.

  • @PrimoVids I love it for the same reason.

  • ive listened to this song hundreds of times and yesterday i just realized the guy singin has a speech impediment

  • i don't notice anything wrong, why do you say that?

  • he has a lisp like he was deaf as a child or something

  • we could only assume-

I notice small slurs and errors in my speaking and are aware of the ones i'm aware of (heh)-

Point being, I think you might be discriminating the subtle differences of speech and dialect. I'm from minnesota, yep.

  • You mean RJD2??

  • Comment removed

  • I guess... But are you SURE it's not his cover for Labi Siffre's "Bless the Telephone", seeing as how he has performed this song live? : /

  • i guess thats possible, i didnt know he sang this. listen "just a word or two. id like to do the same for you" he deffinately has a speech impediment.

  • I don't care if he has a speech impediment. it's a an amazing song regardless.

  • i wasnt knocking the song, i was saying ive heard it a million times and never noticed. who said i was talking to you anyway?

  • wtf is with the video? song's alright

  • damn fuckin amazing

  • I love the first 35 seconds of this song so much. The lullaby tune is amazing.

  • Essa musica é um relato dos sentimentos humanos estartados pela tecnologia.

  • great song

  • I like songs like this that give me an undiscribeable feelin.

  • can anyone else recommend anyone else with cool beats like D2?

  • nujabes

  • dj shadow

  • this is smart hip hop. go Ohio

  • I love it, but because it as such a creepy feel, with such a beautiful melody intertwined. To me it shows up as frustration mixed with finally feeling happy again. Cool song definitely though!

  • I don't care why you did the video thank you for appreciating this song as much as I do

  • Wow. a truly appropriate response to the song. melodic and lilting in its visual scale. i like it very much. well done. hope the D2 man gets a glance at it.

  • The beat is very melodic <3

    3/5

  • this is a nice song... Favorited.

  • Is RJD2 actually singing it??? if he is hes got apretty good voice

  • Yes he is, check out the acoustic live-versions; you can actually see him sing it there.

And yes, I like his kinda fragile voice too...

  • Beautiful, somehow emotionally touching, there's just no other artist who is as multi-faceted as rjd2 <3

  • Don't give him all the credit man - Labi Siffre's wrote this song and his version is all the more tender... give it a listen!

  • check out UNKLE, different but incredible as well.

  • Yeah, i love Unkle as well, there both amazing

  • @bitsoflofifi Actually he's not singing. He took Labi Siffre's voice from the song 'Bless the Telephone', but live he does a good voice

  • @JacoBluezz This is definently not labi shiffre's voice. I'm pretty sure its RJD2

  • @MrNo1reala Then damn, I got so much more respect for RJD2 if he can sing like this too.

  • @JacoBluezz i don't think so,labi sings it in a completely different key and different notes.even if rj did take the labi vocals and slowed them down and pitched them it would not sound like this.

  • @princebibol22 search Labi Siffre - Bless The Telephone on you tube

  • im in love wit this song

  • what is this video of apart from the song??

  • hey paradiser,

the answer to your question turned out to be too long to fit in here but I enclosed the text in the updated info/video description, so please get the information there, ok?

  • jesus christ that is long!

but still thx got it now!

  • To be honest, I like the original version of this song more. This one is still great, though.

  • uhmm..., original? like, by someone else...? the music's taken from the original cd "since we last spoke" by RJD2. is there an older original version by an other band? who?

  • I know where this particular song is from, I have the album. But the lyrics and whatnot are from a song called "Bless the Telephone" by Labi Siffre.

  • okay, thanks for this information, i'll have to find it then, + greets!

  • Wow you're right, I just listened to it over Napster. In the live verson by rjd2, he uses the same intro as in the original version. Very interesting! Thanks a lot! :)

  • it makes me cry and im 25 yo guy

  • Very melancholy, which is why I like it cause i'm such A sad bastard...

  • YEAH!!!!!! it's like Lamb of God but harder, haha... jk but RJD2's kickin a** as always, great beat

  • This is such an amazing song. Actually amazing

  • The fact that he hasn't much control of his voice actually makes this song even sweeter. It's like an impro

  • this is the best- i love it!

  • this song is the shit! rjd2 is putting columbus ohio on the map

  • kocham kocham kocham ten kawałek i całą ich płytę!!
