My bro went to Africa with a new netbook. I put Ubuntu Netbook on a USB stick just in case Windows started acting up. If IF IFFFFF Microsoft went opensource I would forgive them but THEY r hell and it hasn't frozen over yet. lol

just installed it on my medion akoya aka msi wind its a bit diff from your win7 but very interesting in deed its faster just needs a bit of getting use to even got skype to work cam and all:)

I don't suppose it's gonna make any difference but YouTube videos are very slow on this system. I guess this is due to the 32 mg video card in there.

@wokerm You seriously need to work on your english. Typical windows fan-boy. Ubuntu is the shit we all its brilliant lol. A lot of people on Youtube have proven that itis better than windows 7. Windows 7 is a big bloat if your using ultimate edition. I prefer home edition since its lightweight. Ubuntu or Linux mint I would recommend strongly to any beginners - experienced users. If there was a problem for Linux I would say programs compatibility would be the issue.

@TheRealBlackRefleX There's some similar stuff, but yeah, it's REALLY confusing if you don't know what to do, my advice, there's a media production version of ubuntu that has documentation and everything, I think it's called ubuntu studio. Anyways, you can download and try it to see if you can use the music applications available, there won't be anything exactly like windows, though, so if you change, you gotta change. lol
