  • crazy scene!

  • tony leung loves mopping the floor @1:58 onwards

  • Persian: Our arrows will block out the Sun !

    Jet Li: Bitch, please!

  • those are alot of god damn arrows to the knee

  • SKYRIM, this is how Asians fend off arrows. Take note.

  • standing against all odds -> passion + belief

  • A fight in the belief of culture independence, a fight against culture oppression

  • Erhu

  • I used to practice calligraphy, then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • This is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever seen.....Sitting under a rain of arrows while listening to a cheesy chinese violin and writing crappy calligraphy....How silly !

  • @thaR3N fuck off mate

  • @CannabisCommandant why dont you shuttup yo mouf !

  • I used to be hero like you... then i took arrow to the knee...

  • Comment removed

  • did anyone now's this song whith thw violin's???

  • jet li's epicness alone can fend off those arrows

  • how the fuck does a sleeve stop arrows lol

  • @djerikward How the fuck can they stop that much arrow in the first place. The answer is simple: This is a movie

  • 1:57

  • 3 people got hit by the arrows!....

  • As @88Subb said, it is CHINESE FOLKLORE, of course it is not realistic, it is not the point of a folklore myth to be realistic, such a bunch of asshole retards trying to be smartass here

  • THEN WE SHALL FIGHT IN THE SHADE!!!

  • learned something? next time.....use fire arrows :D

  • So much arrow spam. You can see how this would take out most of the Emperor's enemies -_-

  • I think there were 7.306.339 arrows there... not sure thou, I think I missed one or two...

  • I've always loved that scene! And now I realise the two of them lost half a minute of whocandoit-jibber-jabber instead of blocking the arrows…

  • what is the name of the song plz

  • when i saw 300 , i said , fucking spartans, they robbed this scene from "hero"

  • @Luisgarzat95 You will need to understand the movie as a whole to understand why he just keeps painting, he was not inventing a new way to write the character sword, but writing it in a way which is very rare and requires a lot of skill, the idea is they are not phased by the armies which have come for them, which is why the students of the school do the same despite the barrage off arrows, its a very powerful scene.

  • @THEMASTERG3 The movie is a Wuxia movie, the main characters often display martial arts skills which far surpasses the abilities of normal characters, to understand the scene you will need to watch the movie as a whole

  • What the hell is that dress made of?

  • This is the only movie that has the best Rain Of Arrows Scenes.

  • @masterlinkxblooperfa no doubt

  • @masterlinkxblooperfa this movie have a lot of better scenes

never seen so beautifull swordfighting jetli is a great swordsman

  • Arrow rain--some stay dry and others feel the pain.

  • anyone knows the song?

  • anime?

  • If i were in that archery, I would be REALLY mad if I knew that all those arrows were shot, but not ONE was killed...

  • Thats not "Hail! Hail! Hail!"

    Its; "Rain! Rain! Rain!"

  • this is bullshit! bring in the catapults, ignite missiles, what now! bitches!?

  • What's the point of this scene? It's laughably impossible, the would be killed instantly as soon as they opened the door. You get a scene like this in the movie and it just screams "this movie not to be taken seriously". It's like something from a kiddie cartoon.

  • @Bloodgod40: LOL have you ever heard of the concept of "wuxia"? There are scenes in other wuxia movies which are even more unrealistic than this. Ever heard of "Eighteen Dragon Slaying Palms"? You supposed to create "chi" blasts the shape of a freaking dragon to strike your opponents. LOL see, that is wuxia man, fantasy. If you ever go to China, you'll know that instantly.

  • @anhkhoashevakt why the hell are you even explaining this to some moron. I have seen people on youtube watching these scenes (or others such as those in Japanese fantasy) and then feeling the urge to exclaim, almost teach people, that that "Asians can't fly"! Funny they don't feel the similar need to say Wolverine can't have claws, spiderman can't climb walls, Gandalf can't cast spells, or Persian monsters don't exist. This mentality is from a western superiority complex rather than ignorance

  • @dadada486: oh, that's good to know.

  • Those arrows look stronger than sniper bullets

  • lol, their classroom or what ever that is, is filled with arrows and their still goin on with their art class... sucks for them.... ill never complain about my class ever again.. lol

  • @THEMASTERG3 That is what I love about theese kind of movies, so over the top its funny :) cant get anough.

  • @Ultramaggy

The thing is, I doubt the director of Hero intended it to be cheesy. We're all well aware of it when Tarantino throws in large doses of the stuff into his films, and they're all the better because of it, but Hero was meant to be taken quite seriously, and that's why it fails.

  • @THEMASTERG3 its a fantasy genre called wuxia where mythical kung fu fighters have special powers. This is because the chinese never had superheroes like superman, spiderman etc.

  • @THEMASTERG3 the idea is to be unrealistic and over the top, you obviously have no concept of these films at all

  • @THEMASTERG3 its chinese folklore you idiot, it isnt made with western judgment in mind, you single minded retarded fuck, pull your head out of your dick and open your fucking eyes to the world around you, that being said....

    AUTOBOTS! ROLLOUT!!

  • @88Subb relax guy

  • @88Subb I think he was trolling, I hope

  • @88Subb that is so true you really told them

  • @88Subb decepticons mobilize!!

  • @THEMASTERG3 This film is a piec of art. It doesn't have to be realistic.

  • @THEMASTERG3 It has a message that this is not the only dimension. The masters that understood chi flow and reached trance states could shift to completely different levels of clarity. (knowing they programmed reality)

  • @THEMASTERG3

Well, to be fair, even within the film itself this scene (and the entire battle) are revealed to be BS made up by one of the main characters.

  • @THEMASTERG3

It's a wuxia (heroic-fantasy) genre movie, so it's suppose to be cheesy.

  • @THEMASTERG3 My friend, you must view this without your cultural lens. Is it anymore cheesier then knights of the realm fending of fire breathing dragons or western action heros blasting through waves of men and surviving helicopter explosions? This is what asian folklore flics are all about, the juxtaposition of invoking a sense of poetic serenity despite the violent madness it surrounds. Art.

  • i bought the hero soundtrack and was soo pissed that this song wasn't on it!!! BOO! it was my favourite piece of music from the movie! 2nd would be the song that plays during hte forest fight between maggie q and ziyi zhang

  • @edo27 I know! I was so pissed when I got the entire soundtrack only to find that this wasn't on it. I loved the song!

    Love this scene.

  • i just realized i called maggie cheung...(spelling) maggie Q lol...my mistake!

  • @edo27 it is, its called warriors on I tunes

  • Chinese makes more artistic movies than Americans. Crouching Tiger fighting sequences sets a new standard 10 years ago.

  • Pay attention that he moves like them - like he's fending off the arrows.

  • Archers EPIC FAIL........I always wanted to see this.

  • I think i know 300 spartans that could've really used some help from these 2....

  • @mistawabit save leonardis jet li

  • Beautiful scene, one of my all time favourites in film. Never seen anything like this in any other movie.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • He was inventing a 20´th way of writing sword or some shit, cant remember :p

  • Was there ever really an army like that?

  • probably something along those lines, they may have had like 10 guys with a decent(compared to nowadays standard) bow :p historys that gets told and told and told again from generations and then written down are always heavily exagerated. The bible is THE example :) they went way overboard, even more than this.

  • @ColonelMarksman

Well, obviously the Chinese had famous repeating crossbows and ballistas, and huge number of soldiers wielding them. Also, the Qin emperor tried to destroy different dialects and cultures of the conquered lands - that is why the written Chinese language is rather uniform nowdays.

  • Ye i have it almost done, just haveto change the format :p

  • can u do the scene where broken sword and snow invade the kings castle?

  • thx for the quality

  • hope it wasnt sarcasm :p I´m uploading them as high quality as possible :)

  • no it wasnt, good job xD
