I found the results of the Maine caucus and imported them to an SQL database so that I could query the data and look at the results! What I found was that there is a Pretty large problem with the data! If you look at the downloaded pdf file that the Main GOP has available,it is not clearly evident of the problems. @ Stsignificant the main problem isn't the tax rate.... it is how it is used and how it is wasted. But the problem with a 35% tax rate is the government gets way more power than it should. Every other supporter I have spoken with (and I've spoken with dozens) cannot see any flaws in him. That's why I use the word 'worship'. Despite my misgivings about Ron Paul, which pertain to his views on global politics and foreign policy, I have to give him credit for being the only candidate that would take our debt problems seriously. Having said that, part of growing up is recognizing that we have to make the best of a bad situation. Paul supporters are not prepared to do that, and would allow Obama a second term if Paul is not the candidate. Big mistake.

In Iowa votes were taken from Ron Paul and given to Romney or Santorum, but of course the mainstream media doesn't cover it. So those responsible aren't held accountable. Many of Paul's policies (not all) SHOULD be implemented, but that doesn't mean Paul himself makes a good sitting president. As an historian, I say it's just not that simple.

@ Stsignificant the main problem isn't the tax rate.... it is how it is used and how it is wasted. But the problem with a 35% tax rate is the government gets way more power than it should. Governments are created by people and designed for them. Governments should fear large groups of citizens & be able to be changed by them. If every citizen gave 35% of his/her work to the government - then the government could power grab and do whatever it wanted with you, me, and everyone else. 10% >= enough

Despite my misgivings about Ron Paul, which pertain to his views on global politics and foreign policy, I have to give him credit for being the only candidate that would take our debt problems seriously. Having said that, part of growing up is recognizing that we have to make the best of a bad situation. Paul supporters are not prepared to do that, and would allow Obama a second term if Paul is not the candidate. Big mistake.

In Iowa votes were taken from Ron Paul and given to Romney or Santorum, but of course the mainstream media doesn't cover it. So those responsible aren't held accountable.
