I still wouldn't go AMD. 2008 was a bad year for them, and the Phenom II still doesn't stack up to the Core i7. I guess if you want to be loyal to AMD that's cool though. But they better have something in development to compete with the i9.

I wish intel would replace the core i7 920, it is still their best Cpu besides the extreme. it beats all the new dmi core i7's overclocked. Pisses me off because I wanted an i5.

I am a Mac user but need to use Windows at work, as much as I love my Macs I still say use whatever works best for YOU!!! My opinion on upgrading or changing parts in any computer is that a majority of users either Mac or PC will never have to or want to do anything to their computers, they use them and buy new ones when needed, but if you have the knowledge to overclock or upgrade parts and want or need to, then do it. My two cents.

I also love how macward says overclocking is bad, when the only difference between the 2 Nehalem pros that mac offers is the clock speed so one was obviously overclocked, we all know even with AMD the only difference between smiler processors is that one is over clocked out of the box. mac ward seems to think that there is some magical hardware difference between the intel processors offered for the mac
