I am amazed at how sensitive these handheld scanners are! Being able to copy satellite voice so clearly without large, high gain antennas.  Simply amazing.

i have tunned in and also here the brazillians but what are they transmitting on and can any english /americam be heard,also are there any other freq's that you can hear this stuff on ,many thanks for pointing this freq out

This satelite works with linear transmissions, get in FM gets out FM, gets in Digital, gets out Digital. What should happen is not use this frequency. Space shuttle use it sometimes in AM. The real action from the US DoD goes all the way digital encrypted. Brazillian guys wich make use of the satelite in a pirate form are already being identified and arrested. It´s as easy as it gets, just press the PTT and the satelite will work as a global repeater... Simply amazing...

one of the FLTSATCOM fleet - i can't be exact because there are a few in the constellation. Brazillian pirate activity is being received.
