Exactly. That is how he operates. At key moments he flips and supports the unconstitutional collectivist (fascist, socialist, etc) legislation and programs and helps sell it. Then when it's too late he says "Oopsy", or else just pretends that he never did that. This is why they pay him $50 million. He's a Judas Goat.

Glen Beck stated that he was for the patriot act, but has since changed his mind and now supports its repeal. He also said the same about the bank bailout. And stated that his message is closest to Ron Paul's vs Sarah Palin's. The comments you showed when he spoke about Bush don't really prove that he supports Bush. He is critical of the Bush Administration and all of its spending

constwatchmen, that's not an accurate description of Beck on the Patriot Act.
He said (6/6/08 CNN): "I was for the Patriot Act because [Bob Barr] got the sunsets in. I figure, if the sunsets are there, if they have to keep coming back every six months, if there`s a problem, I`m not giving them this power. I`m lending it to them with a certain end date."
The supposed "sunset" clause was not and is not an excuse for supporting the Patriot Act. It's an abomination for any length of time.

This is like bible bashing...you can always find a quote (especially when taken out of context) to support what you wanna say. The clips when Beck says he was for the Patriot Act are followed by things like "for about the first week until I realized what it would mean." I agree, the Patriot Act is RIDICULOUS! Kick it out now! Just pay attention though to the rest of what Beck is saying instead of digesting sound bites that fit what you already believe about him. I agree with the Ron Paul part.

I am not a neocon (I am a conservative, a Federalist (in the Hamiltonian sense), a nationalist, a foreign policy hawk and a supporter of deregulated capitalism), but I respect the ideology more than adolescent libertarianism. Glenn Beck is no Neo-Con! He is a hybrid of libertarianism and conservative-populism. The latter half is fine, but I hate Jeffersonian libertarianism. This is the part of Lincoln, TR, Eisenhower and Reagan, NOT RON PAUL!

Beck is a hypocrite, inconsistent, and two-faced. Whatever perceived "truth" and "rightness" he espoused lately about the Constitution and free-market economics was just him parroting Andrew Napolitano, Kevin Gutzman and FA Hayek. It's convenient he supported the bailout under Bush and proclaims the bailout unconstitutional under Obama. He has praised Paul and yet stabbed him in the back in the past. Beck ambushed Debra Medina with a dishonest interview & misrepresentation. Beck is a demagogue.

So what if he parrots people, don't people with the same ideals sit and discuss and use each others info. He also supported the original bailout when it was a loan not after he realized it was nothing more than a money grab for the left. Glenn has been wrong in the past, but in his show he will come out admit it and apologize, You will not see that character anywhere else.
