I am sure that you are quite busy these days but I was wandering when we can see some more videos like it going thru some mud to see how it does in the liquid dirt plus I have seen that you use and recommend the dana 60 can your system use portals to aid in the lift also what about using the rockwell 2.5 ton axle ?
@bearcoldheart I can guarantee you won't see my van in a mud pit by choice! hate that stuff, too hard to clean up! My kit is setup for any axle that has a 38" spring pad width, which is the 99-04 superduty spec. So the other axles could work. None of my other components will fit though, so some customization/fabrication will be needed.
@ujointoffroad awww com'on man just one little mud puddle that atleast comes up half way on your tires ;-)> you know for demostration purposes ;-) and the portals that i was speaking about were the ones that bolt on the ends of you should check them out sometime it could be a good set up for ya . they are from Axletech International Motorsports. Because in therory just using the 8 inch lift from you plus the bolt on portals (which nets you an addditional 5 inchs) you could run 44 inch tires.
Damn you man! Just when i am set on a tiger motorhome or an aev jk i stumble upon this...lol. Very nice. Thinkin i could outfit the interior with a dirtbike, a bed, as well as a blonde and travel this great nation in style ;)
I own a small electrical contracting business. My main vehicle is a 2006 Ford E350 with a 6.0L diesel. I would love to have this done to my van. Damn thing has no traction in the mud or snow. You'd think at around 11,000 pounds loaded it would bite a little more. What does a kit like that cost? By the way, excellent work.
@vanourkerk Thanks very much. Cost depends on a few things. You have many options with the conversion, from building it yourself to dropping it off here @ UJOR. The 6.0 van is the easiest to convert! Shoot me an email or give me a call & we can dial in a package deal. Thanks!
@teAmooCRiSS Well, some people like vans for their versatility and value. Everyone has their thing. If we all drove what you like then it wouldn't be so cool would it???
@rudedog062 yea, those springs are probably too stiff for any decent flex. the big companies tend to over build the springs to avoid warranty issues from sagging. If you ever want some custom springs that will flex better, let me know.
the 4:05 spot gave my stomach weird feelings. Great shit. This thing is solid! Man, so awesome! I'd love to have something like this for my camping trips.
@page1195 I've never felt unsafe in this van. I've had it in plenty of off camber situations, but it's not a rock crawler. Vans aren't as top heavy as people make them out to be. Not only are we lifting them, we're widening the track too, which helps.
I really am interested in building one of these the only problem is the short supply e350 diesels running around for sale. I cannot seem to find one???? Do you have any ideas of a dealer that sells them look around thunder garage and paper truck none found? Thanks for your help.
@spicecrop Thanks for the info. I'm not really sure how circles could be crawled around it, but I'll use my imagination. How would a Pinz do on a x-country trip? Can I buy Pinz parts at my local parts store?
I currently have a 95 E250 5.8L and I knew it was a workhorse but not capable of doing all that! Great job on the conversion! Do you know if the 5.8L holds up well for these applications?
Was that a skull?!? Just right after your front left tire went over it at 4:43. That's pretty cool if you meant to do that!!! I agree with everybody else. Super sick van!!!
@ujointoffroad Wow. That's a more than I figured it would get. I thought there was a dual tank option for these diesel vans. That's one of the main reasons why I want one. @1spark2 Thanks! The airbags give me the most versatility. When unloaded, I have a nice soft ride. When I load up, I can add air to the bags to keep the van level.
Vanaconda is running the UJOR 10" kit on 38's. It sits a little lower in the rear. (can be raised with the airbags) The parts wouldn't work on a truck, but there are plenty of parts available to do so....
